Daylight sighting by motorists near the Flathead River
Two occupants driving toward Missoula in morning daylight spotted a very tall, uniformly black bipedal figure moving rapidly across an open hillside across the highway and river. The driver watched it with binoculars while the passenger attempted cell-phone photos, observing for about two to two-and-a-half minutes as it crossed right to left then turned uphill with long strides and swinging arms. Both described it as much larger than a person and moving at a running pace despite a relaxed walking gait.
Vocalization near Fayetteville / Coldwater, Tennessee (2017)
Around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 25, 2017, the witness and a companion were driving in a loud diesel truck toward a deer blind. They heard several very loud wooo sounds from woods estimated at 200 to 250 yards away, audible over the engine. They stopped briefly to listen, then drove on and shined lights into the woods without seeing or hearing anything further.
Two coyote hunters have nighttime sighting driving back to the farm near Arley
Two companions were hunting coyotes at night when one was paralleled in the woods by something that returned his whistles. After reuniting they drove toward the house and illuminated a tall shaggy biped in the field below the barn. They watched it briefly in the headlights before it turned and walked into a cedar thicket while their dog chased it a short way and returned.
Sasquatch sighting near Basalt, Colorado (2017)
The guest and his father were bow hunting elk near Basalt in early November. After spotting distant elk, the guest noticed movement and saw a dark-haired face peering around an aspen about 60 yards away before it walked over a bench. Both were terrified and left for the truck without photographing or shooting, and later discussed whether it could have been Sasquatch.

The guest was alone on a ladder deer stand before sunrise when he heard movement and vocal exchanges between two creatures. A large hairy creature stayed partly behind a cedar tree about 35 yards away, showing an arm, leg, foot and left side of its face. Fearing for his life, he shot it just above the knee, heard a loud scream, and watched it flee very fast; he later recovered the bullet with hair and saw blood.

The witness was driving south with his wife on a clear afternoon when they saw a tall, hairy biped cross the road ahead of them from a field into woods. They watched it continuously as they approached, noting its long arms, long strides, and large size. After it disappeared over a guardrail into a steep wooded ravine, they stopped but could not relocate it.
Hunters experience possible vocalizations, wood knocks, felled trees, over eight days in Squaw Valley
Two hunters spent eight days camping in a tent while hunting. Most nights they heard moaning/howling and reciprocal wood knocks that seemed to move closer, and one night heard growls outside the tent but saw nothing when they rushed out with guns and flashlights. Twice they returned from hunting to find trees blocking or inside camp, including a large healthy green pine pushed over. After losing sleep they left for a family cabin and returned next morning to find the tent zipper partly open with the lantern still on.
Husband and wife hear vocals while making camp at dark, near Priest Lake
A couple and their dog set up camp for the night in a closed campground area after kayaking. After dark they heard loud whoo-like calls from the woods to the north, with a second much louder call from close range and a fainter answering call from a distance. They judged the calls too loud to be an owl and were frightened, retrieving a pistol, but heard no vehicles, lights, footsteps, or odor. Nothing further was heard overnight and nothing appeared disturbed in the morning.
Father and daughter have possible late night sighting on edge of Huron National Forest
Around 2:30 a.m. the witness and his daughter were walking from the house to a detached garage bordering the national forest when they noticed movement and a white, human-like furry figure about 100 feet away looking toward them. The figure moved very quickly in a half-circle and crouched near a tree, then was seen standing motionless with its back to them as they approached. They ran back to the garage frightened and later discussed that they could not match it to a known animal.
Ongoing activity including a late night sighting at a home east of Vestaburg
Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.
Nighttime road crossing between Rochester and East Lake Drive
Around 5 a.m. while driving home from work in the dark, the witness saw a two-legged creature run across the road ahead of the car and into a cornfield near a river. The creature was described as about six to six and a half feet tall, dark dirty black and grey, very muscular, with little visible neck and no clothes. The witness did not see long hair or the face.
Wife and husband find tracks, have afternoon sighting near Hellroaring Ridge
While driving in a gated area to bear hunt, the witness saw a tall black upright figure moving through saplings. On driving back through the same spot, the companion watched a similar tall black figure with wide shoulders and a rounded head for 15-20 seconds before it stepped behind a tree and vanished. Moments later the companion saw branches about seven feet high moving in a row as if something tall had run through.
Wood Knocks with Supporting Indications 10 miles NE of Mercer, WI
Two people sat on a pier watching their dog swim when they heard a branch-breaking sound and a loud splash from across the lake. They saw nothing with binoculars but then heard three wood-knock-like sounds over several minutes. Their dog became nervous and left the pier, and they followed it back to camp.
Whoop in Kentucky (2017)
While bow hunting in Kentucky the guest heard a plain higher-pitched whoop on the trail and changed plans. Later after shooting a doe, he and two others found a large heel-like impression at the water's edge leading into the water. He never told the landowner about the whoop.
Possible nighttime sighting by a motorist travelling thru a flooded area due to Hurricane Harvey near the town of Snook
The witness was driving west on Highway 60 after crossing the Brazos River around 2:45 a.m. when a large dark shape on the roadside rose to a standing position and stepped or leapt into the darkness. The view lasted about two seconds at highway speed, revealing a very tall, thick bipedal figure that appeared dark with no discernible features. The witness, who said they had not previously believed in such beings, reported being shaken and convinced by what they saw.

A family was driving slowly up a rocky canyon in a large vehicle while the mother and young son walked ahead after stopping to clear brush. The son saw a large hairy biped stand up and step across the trail into tall brush, while the mother only glimpsed something brown entering the brush. As the family drove out, large rocks came down the shale slope nearby, and the father reported a strong feeling of being watched.
Camper experiences possible activity, rock thrown in Kaniksu National Forest
On September 3, 2017, the witness and two companions were picnicking and hiking in forest land near Colville National Forest. During a daytime walk in a dry creek bed, the witness and a companion found two large human-like footprints. That evening at dusk from near their parked vehicle, they made howl calls and tree knocks and heard two howl responses from different directions.
Evening archery hunters hear possible whoops for 15 minutes in Mt. Hood National Forest
The witness was archery hunting with his wife and son and had gathered back at their truck around 7 p.m. They heard loud whoop-like vocalizations from the treeline, and after the son imitated a whoop they heard louder responses from multiple directions continuing for several minutes. The witness stated the sounds were unlike any known animal, that the exchange was recorded on phones, and that no other people were in the area.
Early Morning Howls Awaken Campers Near Liliwaup
Two people camping overnight in hammocks were awakened around 3 a.m. by loud, long howls that they felt physically and that repeated several times from up the creek. They had never heard anything similar despite extensive wilderness experience and could not match it to known North American mammal sounds. They later found an online Sasquatch vocalization that sounded identical, but stated they did not know the source.

The witness and a companion were driving home in the evening when they rounded a corner and saw a large upright grayish-black animal standing in the middle of the road. The animal took a few strides and disappeared into the surrounding heavy woods. The witness estimated it was about seven feet tall and said its face was obscured by hair.
