Sasquatch sighting near Lander, Wyoming (2010)
While staying about a week to help move his elderly grandmother, the 11-year-old guest rode a mountain bike daily on wide trails toward the national forest and often felt watched. One day the woods went quiet and he heard childlike playing shift to indistinct murmuring, then heavy bipedal footsteps approaching through brush. A roughly nine-foot, black-haired, barrel-chested male stepped onto the trail about 30 yards away, made rapid mouth-popping clicks answered from the brush, then growled and changed expression when the witness turned his bike. A second taller individual stood up in the brush showing chest and head, the witness rode about two and a half miles home, and family members dismissed the report as a bear.

The witness awoke in a truck at a forest campsite around dawn and briefly saw a dark figure run between a tent and a parked vehicle. She first thought it was a companion, but the companion was elsewhere in camp and moved more slowly. The figure was visible only for a fraction of a second from the torso up and was not seen again. No footprints were found afterward despite wet ground.

Early one lightly snowing morning in November 2005 the witness was driving a newspaper route into Mountain View when she saw a large bulky biped walking toward her and crossing the road diagonally toward brushy trees. She drove to where it entered the brush and stopped, but saw and heard nothing, though she felt uneasy and stared at. She estimated it was 7 to 9 feet tall, larger than a man, with slightly long arms and its head tipped slightly down.

The witness and a companion were resupplying a bear bait site on foot when they heard branches breaking upslope and saw a piece of tree fall. About 400 yards away on a ledge they saw a tall dark bipedal figure leaning against a broken tree. The witness watched it for 15-20 seconds before it stepped quickly into the treeline, and noticed a rancid odor near the bait site.

A driver traveling west on Interstate 90 in Wyoming late at night reported seeing a large, hair-covered biped cross the highway ahead of the car. The witness camped overnight in the cab of his truck before deer hunting season. Around 4 a.m. he got outside and heard deep breathing nearby, then after getting back in the truck heard a high-pitched warbling yodel from the direction of the mountain. He saw nothing with a flashlight and stayed awake in the truck until dawn.

Four family members driving near Mount Washburn reported seeing a tall hairy biped on a distant ridge while looking for bighorn sheep around noon. The figure was described as dark brown, very tall, and walking upright with a slight forward lean across a clearing between trees. The witness pulled off a highway west of Cody in late afternoon to hike north through timber and rocky outcrops. Over about an hour the witness heard rocks rolling, brush breaking and movement that seemed to follow and stop with them. While returning toward the road the witness turned to see an upright, brown, long-haired animal about 60-70 yards away that immediately leapt into dense timber. The witness was uncertain whether the sounds and sighting involved the same animal and noted a bear as a possible alternative, only later considering Bigfoot after finding a website.

During a cross-country drive up steep mountain switchbacks in bright daylight, the passenger, who had been watching for wildlife, noticed a dark-clothed man-like figure standing beside an upcoming stretch of road and intended to warn the driver. The driver, focused on the road, did not see the figure. When the car rounded the switchback to that spot, the figure was gone despite steep cliffs and almost no shoulder where someone could have stepped away.
