Chairs left outside were found turned upside down in the morning. Strange whoop-like sounds were also heard from across the canyon and were initially attributed to bears or people.

The guest's friend was hunting from a rock overlooking a creek bottom when he shot at a hog. A large upright creature stood from the bushes below, looked toward him and repeatedly bared its teeth, then walked over a ridge. The friend dropped his rifle, fled to the truck in shock, later quit the club and remained armed at home.
Two young men hiking outside Tehachapi come across possible tracks
While hiking to search for lost sunglasses, the witness noticed a large human-like barefoot track. The companion later viewed the track and estimated the maker would be at least seven feet tall and the track a few days old. The pair kept watch while returning to the car, and snow fell after they reached home.
Close daylight sighting by a fisherman near White Sulphur Springs
The witness was fishing alone from a creek bank when he noticed a persistent decay-like odor. He then saw a reddish-brown female-appearing figure squatting across the creek near a beaver dam, apparently washing something in the water. After watching briefly, he stood and shouted, at which point the figure stood, made a short vocal sound, and left quickly. He returned to camp frightened and stayed there.

Two hikers on a trail heard prolonged, loud, warbling calls that seemed to come from more than one source and grew louder near a bridge and large tree. They stopped repeatedly to listen, could not identify the sound in the field, and later ruled out elk or cougar after checking animal recordings. Other hikers entering the area said they had heard a similar distant sound. The writer concluded the sound matched a purported bigfoot recording on a website.
Possible daylight sighting by motorist on Illinois Route 4 outside Hamel
The witness was driving north on Illinois Route 4 through a wooded area when they spotted a large upright figure about 50 feet from the roadway for a second or two. The figure was described as very tall, thick and broad with orangish fur. The witness did not stop due to lack of safe parking, and a later site visit found no footprints or other evidence.
Possible trackline found in fresh snow near Willow Springs Lake
The witness rode a snowmobile alone on an unplowed, closed road toward Willow Springs Lake after a heavy overnight snowfall. About a mile and a half from the highway, he found a line of large bare footprints with toes crossing the road from woods to woods. He stopped, turned off the machine, and examined the tracks, noting a long stride in deep snow and no other vehicles or tracks nearby. He had no camera and continued his ride.
Juvenile bigfoots spotted as well as other evidence
The witness returned with two companions to a snowy roadside area where tracks had been found the prior week. During the visit they found fresh juvenile-like tracks and large snowed-over tracks near urine-like spray marks, heard loud high-pitched screams from across the valley on three occasions, and checked a baited trail camera. The companions reportedly saw two small upright figures briefly on nearby ridges before the group left as darkness fell.

The animal stood on two legs and moved away through a hollow with swinging arms, described as having a flat face and long brown-black hair. He estimated it at about 7 feet tall by comparison to a nearby tree and found no tracks due to standing water, only flattened grass. After rejoining his companion about a half-mile away, they found and examined an unusually large scat pile containing berries and grass.

Six years after the first incident, the witness drove with his son to a deer lease for a morning hunt. While walking alone to his stand in the dark, the witness was followed in the brush line, then saw a huge dark-faced creature that hit a tree. The creature later approached the ground blind and sniffed at the door gap before leaving.

Rocks began hitting the water and bank from across a flooded area about 50-60 yards away, followed by a sustained low roar that he felt vibrate. He left his gear and retreated to the lit compound, later hearing clicking like rocks banging together. About a month later he returned with a local researcher who found a pushed path through tules, a pressed circle, and a track measuring just over 16 inches.
