After exploring old gold mines a rock is thrown at a moving vehicle near Georgetown
The witness was driving back down a logging road in the afternoon after looking for old mines to prospect. A rock thrown from the wooded hillside struck the roof of the vehicle and left a dent. After stopping and getting out, the witness saw a large dark creature moving up the hill into the trees. The witness believed the creature had thrown the rock.

The witness was camping on owned property along the river [name withheld] the dogs stayed agitated overnight. The next morning a line of prints was found in mud by the river that appeared to come out of the water and go back in downstream. The witness photographed the prints and made a plaster cast, reporting them at about 13 by 4 inches.
Possible trackway found and photographed near Brandon
The witness was driving back roads after collecting mail when a line of large footprints was noticed on a dirt road. The witness brought a companion to view the trackway and both took photographs, returning the next day for more photos, measurements, and plaster casts. The trackway reportedly ran along the road for about three-quarters of a mile, entering and leaving adjacent fields, with large dimensions and a long stride.

Late at night while walking a dog outside the house, the witness heard a very loud, almost human-like cry echoing through the hills three times in succession. The dog became nervous and growled, continuing to growl at a window after being taken inside. The witness distinguished the sound from a cougar and found it interesting rather than frightening.

The witness was camping overnight with three companions in the Del Norte Redwoods campground. Around 3 a.m. in July she was awakened by whooping sounds that were answered from a distance and continued as a chorus for some time. She stated the sounds were not elk, canine, or owl, and she considered sasquatch as a possible source.

Late at night, the witness and two companions were searching near a campfire for a lost kitten when they heard a single loud, unfamiliar scream-howl from nearby. The sound lasted several seconds and was followed by several minutes of responses from cattle, coyotes, and birds along the river. The witness, who reports familiarity with local wildlife sounds, stated the initial vocalization did not match any known animal.

Late at night at home, the witness's normally quiet dog barked intensely, stared out the window, shook, and refused to go outside alone. On the porch the witness noticed a foul BO-like odor and found a full recycle bin had been moved about 15 feet without spilling bottles or leaving drag marks in loose gravel. No person or animal was seen.
Family camping at Shawnee State Forest has possible encounter
A family camping at a wooded campsite was awakened around 4 a.m. by strange calling sounds and heavy footsteps behind their tent. After shouting, they heard heavy stomping retreat into the woods and fled to their car. They returned later that morning, heard heavy breathing and had a stick thrown toward them before retreating again, later finding disturbed garbage and an opened food packet before leaving.

A driver on country back roads at night slowed after noticing something hiding behind a tree by the road. The figure peeked out at the vehicle and then hid again. The witness described a very tall human-like face with red eyes and was disturbed that it seemed to intentionally avoid the headlights.
Sasquatch sighting near Alpine County (2010)
The witness hiked alone off trail above Lake Alpine and sat on a boulder. After watching squirrels and a deer, he saw a huge hairy biped partly behind a tree that stood up and then walked uphill away from him, looking back twice. He watched for about a minute, then hurried back to companions at the picnic area without telling them at the time.
Possible wood knock responses heard near Westport
Three people went into woods near Westport at night to try tree-knocking to elicit a response. After each of their three knocks they heard distinct return knocks from across the lake, first from the west and then from the east. They also heard movement in the treeline, a low growl heard by a companion, and three distant howls they judged unlike dog or coyote. They left after about 30 minutes.
Fallen branches and vocal calls heard at night while camping
The witness was tent camping with a companion when she was awakened during the night by a loud sound like a large branch falling. While lying awake she heard another similar bang nearby, followed by a deep roar and then higher-pitched screams that seemed to come from across the highway. She noted the screams were slightly deeper than a peafowl cry. The next morning she asked a campground clerk about the sounds, but the clerk was reluctant to discuss them.

The witness was sitting in the yard in darkness when a loud roaring scream was heard from the brush at the edge of the cleared area behind the house, with sounds of something large crashing through underbrush. The witness yelled and threw firewood toward the sounds, which continued screaming briefly before moving off toward woods beyond a field. The witness's husband arrived with a spotlight after the sounds stopped but nothing was seen. Crushed grass and limbs broken high in several trees were later noted, with no tracks found.

A solo camper spent the night on a plateau west of Bragg Creek during rain and thunderstorms. Through the night the camper heard log-banging, close movement, breathing, branch breaking, a tarp strike, a grunt, a boulder throw and a tree being pushed over, and glimpsed an upright figure walking downhill toward a creek. At dawn the camper heard loud bird-like calls from multiple directions, and found large grass impressions the next morning.

The witness and a companion were fishing at night when they heard knocking or banging sounds from trees. Shortly afterward rocks landed and bounced on the ground and road behind them, apparently thrown from a wooded area leading up a hill. They did not see the source, packed their gear, and left as the rock throwing stopped.
Late afternoon encounter by hunters scouting for deer between Cadillac and Manton
The witness and two companions were scouting for deer season by a creek near a cedar swamp when they heard an unfamiliar low growl. After the witness threw stones toward the sound, they saw a dark upright shadow moving at the swamp edge and rocks were thrown back toward them. Hearing further growls and large branches breaking, the group left quickly for their vehicle.

Two witnesses walking a logging road heard loud approaching sounds and then saw a tall dark upright figure watching them from behind a tree. The figure leaned out curiously and later followed them to within close range before they ran back to a relative working a nearby field. The relative later visited the spot but found no tracks or odor.
Possible howl heard by three family members while on vacation at June Lake
The witness and family were staying in a cabin backing to forest and granite cliffs near June Lake. Late at night they went onto the deck and heard a distant loud, deep howl lasting under a minute. About 10-15 minutes later, while the witness was showering, the rest of the family heard the same type of sound three more times from inside the cabin with windows open. The witness, familiar with local wildlife sounds, felt the vocalization was louder and deeper than any known animal.
Hikers observe and cast possible fresh footprints in Leominister State Forest
A couple hiking in the woods heard a close grunt and brief heavy movement, then continued on. About an hour later on the return leg they found six fresh, very deep human-like barefoot prints with deer tracks in hard mud where they had seen nothing earlier. They took cell phone photos, grew uneasy and disoriented, and left by a different path without seeing any animal or person.

The witness was looking for a fishing spot with a young relative when the woods went silent and loud screams were heard from two hidden sources. The sounds continued for minutes, seemed to move closer, and stopped abruptly after the child cried. A week later an investigator found large tracks and broken branches nearby.
