The witness and spouse were in their bedroom with the window open late at night when they heard prolonged howls from a distance. The howls repeated over several minutes and prompted neighborhood dogs to bark. The witness was riding at the back of a large group of ATVs at night through a muddy, wooded trail. As he approached a large tree, he made eye contact with a tall, muscular, hair-covered figure pressed flat against the tree with its hands on the trunk. After a stare lasting about 15 seconds, the witness rode past within a few feet, looked back, and saw the figure take one quick step and disappear into the darkness.

The witness was jogging north on a prairie trail in daylight when they saw a large furry figure walking ahead with its back to them. As they approached, the figure looked larger and hair-covered, then went around a bend near a stream and retention pond. After noticing a strong rotten-egg and wet-dog odor, the witness saw a large dark hair-covered figure standing by a palm 300-500 yards away and facing the road. The view lasted only a few seconds before roadside trees blocked it. After turning around and returning, the figure was gone but a strange smell lingered.

In the middle of the night the camper was shaken several times, prompting one witness to go outside with a flashlight. He heard something walking in the timber but saw nothing when he shone the light, then after returning inside heard a series of loud whoops from a distance.

No footprints were found afterward despite wet ground.

All four family members watched it take several strides on the pavement before it left the shoulder and went down toward a creek without acknowledging them. The parents had glimpsed a similar figure in nearly the same spot the previous night. The next day the family found slide marks and a broken branch near the creek and learned another family had also seen the creature.

On a Friday night during an archery-hunt camping trip, the witness and a relative sat by the campfire while two unseen presences circled the camp, breaking branches, pacing, and making heavy footsteps. Small rocks and sticks were then thrown into camp, including a softball-sized rock that landed nearby, followed by impacts on a food box and the trailer. Others sheltering in the trailer also heard footsteps, breaking branches, impacts, and a heavy sigh, and later a branch-like object was dragged across the trailer roof.

After rounding a bend, the witness saw a tall, dark-brown, long-haired bipedal animal running away through the forest for about 10-15 seconds. The witness stopped and then searched where it crossed, but found no clear tracks on the trail and no hair or broken vegetation.

At dusk the witness heard a weed-eater-like whirling sound from the woods behind the backyard and walked back to investigate. He saw a dark figure sitting with its back to him that stood up, gathered something to its chest, and quickly left into the woods. He described the figure as female, about six feet tall, about 30 yards away.

Two companions were driving west on Highway 26 after a fishing trip when they slowed near stopped cars. An ape-like creature sprang from the woods very close to their car and ran behind it across the road from north to south, moving on its knuckles with unusual quickness and nearly being hit by a following car. Other stopped drivers honked during the crossing.
