Hours later a loud high-pitched scream was heard that the witness did not recognize, and a next-day search found no clear footprints due to heavy leaf cover.

While scouting and then deer hunting near a river over several weeks, the witness reports a persistent foul odor, sounds of being followed, and repeated loud wood knocks. Three people were inside a small cabin after scouting for bear season when they heard banging on the outside wall and later three bangs on the door. Each time they went outside they found no one there, but they noticed a strong foul odor. An apple and later a stick were thrown from over a rise behind the cabin while they were outside and loading their truck. They left believing no other people or vehicles were on the mountain.

The witness and a relative were sitting on a hill near outbuildings watching a hollow at night when a passing car's lights revealed a tall standing figure below them. The figure turned toward them, and after the car passed they heard breathing and running coming uphill toward them. Both fled to the nearby house and heard nothing further that night.

While walking back to their vehicle, they discovered two very large five-toed footprints in firm soil that they estimated were one or two days old. No creature was seen.

The witness sat on the front porch steps in the evening and saw a tall hairy figure standing in the woods near the chicken coop, which then ran away. After it left, knocking sounds were heard from the woods. Shortly before, a relative had been growled at near the coop and had retrieved a firearm.

The witness was deer hunting from a tree stand in the evening when two does fled past appearing nervous. He then smelled a strong foul odor, a log was thrown against the base of his tree, and something moved away through thick brush without being clearly seen. A loud scream was heard shortly afterward from the far end of the woods, after which he remained in the stand for about an hour before leaving.

He heard rustling and grunting and saw a tall hair-covered creature standing near a tree about 50 yards away, then saw it again about 20 to 30 yards away while walking back. He left the area without using the firearm he was carrying and later told a relative what he had seen.

Four men riding 4-wheelers in thick forest saw a black bear on an opposite hillside and rode toward it, but the bear disappeared into deep woods. Stopped at the hilltop, they noticed four large human-like footprints in fresh mud heading up the trail in a different direction from the bear. The prints were described as very large with a big toe and a few smaller toes and a long stride. Hunters in the group said the prints looked like Bigfoot prints and differed from bear tracks.

A tall hair-covered upright figure stood partly behind the tree, repeatedly peeking out as the light moved, then stepped fully into view facing them before retreating behind the tree and fleeing through the woods. The next morning the witness found two large footprints behind the tree and another unclear print nearby.
Possible late night sighting across the road from a house near Kirbyville
The witness let a dog out at home late at night and heard stomping from across the road, which frightened the dog. The witness then saw a tall figure about 8 feet tall pass a street sign and telephone pole, blocking the sign, and disappear within seconds.

A couple camping on an isolated site finished dinner and sat by a campfire when the wife felt watched and fearful. The husband searched with lights and briefly saw movement in the trees about 30 feet away, including what looked like a large dark lower leg. While inside the trailer the wife heard two to three whooping sounds from that wooded area.

The witness stayed two nights at a friend's house on a wooded mountain development. On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. The next day he found two partial human-like footprints in a steep bank near a trail. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

It crossed the road in front of her car, stepped over a guardrail easily, and walked into nearby timber. The animal was described as tall and powerfully built, walking at a normal pace without acknowledging the vehicle.
