On an overnight alone in a tent by a pond, the guest heard a large splash too big for a goose. Using a thermal imager he first focused on deer, then turned and saw the back of something moving. It disappeared behind thick cover, re-emerged standing and walking bipedally, then turned back. Head height was measured next morning at eight to nine feet.

During an overnight with another researcher in the Black River area, the guest heard a very low sasquatch vocalization similar to well-known recorded howls. They believed it might have been saying thanks for gifted food.

While taking garbage out behind the garage on a normal night, the guest heard a very monotone powerful voice in his mind saying thanks for friendship, Scout. He spun around, dropped the garbage, searched the property and saw nothing, attributing it to mind-speak and learning the entity's name.

While fully awake and lying in bed in his father's house, the guest heard a female voice saying it had heard about him. He opened his eyes to see a small hand-sized fairy hovering over his face studying him. When he spoke to it, it flew across the room into an electronics box with a pop and sparks.

After moving to a town in eastern Michigan, the guest reports being visited in bed by a dark cloaked figure while awake. After moving to a newly built house, the figure followed. On one occasion it struck him in the chest, then a white cloaked figure tackled it.

While walking a mine-cut trail the guest heard an intense Jurassic-Park-like growl from behind cattails and apologized aloud to pass. He then saw a short juvenile-like black outline in a bent-knee stance on a hill, and later a very black being climb a chain-link fence with both legs off the ground, drop to hands and spider-crawl low to the ground into a ditch.

After first being whistled at, the guest returned and exchanged whistles back and forth, sometimes for an hour or two. The other whistles were louder, more dynamic and double-toned than a bird, changed tone when he tried to keep up, and once were loud enough to set off car alarms.

While walking a trail the guest silently asked if the beings could hear him. Immediately he heard a very loud wood knock like a bat against a tree about four hundred yards ahead, which startled him and which he took as an answer.

On a summer afternoon the guest watched a shadow resolve into two beings about fifteen feet away. The front gray almost hairless wrinkled one stared through him with wide amber-brown eyes and a very wide mouth, while a much larger black curly-haired muscular one stood behind in a sprung posture. He spoke thanks, then left when a relative called for a ride.

While doing drumming and chanting at a regular spot, the guest woke on his side without shoes or socks without knowing if it was morning or night. His audio captured him falling silently, apparent snoring for hours, then distant tree knocks growing more frequent and closer as if trying to wake him.

Late at night the guest drove with two female friends to an unfamiliar spot marked by two braided birch trees arched over the road. Near the car he saw red eyes, heard popping tree breaks, and three trees were found broken nearby when they waited until sunrise.
