A few days later the witness was woken by a thump in the house, checked locked doors and sleeping children, then in daylight found fresh bipedal triangle-shaped tracks on his high roof and the neighbor's roof. The tracks were wide at the front and narrow at the heel and appeared to travel toward the canyon.

The figure crossed the road quickly in front of the car and turned its head toward the vehicle before leaving down a steep slope. The companion driver saw only movement and a shadow, and a later check of the area found nothing.

The witness reports ongoing nighttime disturbances over about a month, coinciding with logging on an adjacent property. The family reports feeling watched while walking from their parked car to the house, the outside dog refusing to leave the porch after dark, and one night a branch landing on the porch followed by a shotgun shot into the air to scare whatever was there.

The guest and his wife were settling for the night in a cabin on Lake Crescent when a long, drawn-out howl came from the mountainside behind them. He notes it did not sound like coyotes or wolves he knew. Both looked at each other in disbelief.

Seconds later the witness heard footsteps and saw a tall, wide dark figure cross the pasture, step over fences, cross the road, and disappear near where the deer went. A group of scouts and parents camping in tents were awakened around 2 a.m. by loud whoop vocalizations. The main witness heard three very close whoops followed minutes later by more distant whoops that seemed to move away to the north. The sound was unfamiliar and unnerving, and the group discussed a sasquatch as a possible source.

They heard loud calls starting as a whoop and transitioning into a prolonged anguished howl-like cry, then heard similar calls from farther away over a couple of minutes. As he continued quietly, he heard a rushing sound overhead, then something struck a tree and the ground behind him, leaving a sapling branch bouncing. He found only a large thick slab of bark on the ground that he thought did not match the local regrowth, then abandoned the hunt feeling watched and uneasy.

The witness was driving up a mountain logging road to work in the morning with an infant in the car. A tall, hairy bipedal creature crossed the road in about two steps in front of the vehicle and entered the woods. The witness was frightened and drove quickly on to campus.

The witness and his father stopped at a clearcut at night and scanned with flashlights, spotting three sets of eyeshine at different heights. The largest figure charged uphill while vocalizing, then moved toward them breaking branches before everything went silent while the two smaller figures watched from the treeline. Around midnight the large figure re-emerged, stepped over a log and walked downhill bipedally with the other two following.

The witness was searching for mushrooms on a wooded hillside in the early afternoon. They looked down and noticed an old impression in a mossy patch about 15 inches long, broad at the toes with a wide heel and a rise in the middle. Small debris was sitting in it, suggesting it had been there some time. The impression was still present in the same condition when the witness returned that fall.

She interpreted the sounds as coming from two individuals exchanging signals. After falling asleep and waking in the morning, she found a single large bare footprint near the gravel walkway and photographed it before it was accidentally erased.

She first thought it was a hunched person in a hooded sweat suit, but the way its arm moved made her feel it was not human. On closer approach it appeared as a dark hair-covered figure seen from behind, which stepped easily over a roadside railing and went down into the woods toward power lines. The next day footprints at the spot were cast during a site visit with a local researcher.

The witness was riding as a passenger in a daytime car trip when she noticed a very tall hair-covered biped in a clearing beside the road. The figure was walking north and she kept watching it as the car passed until she lost sight of it. She told the driver what she had seen, but the driver had been driving and did not see the figure.

Three men on a wild camping trip in a steep ravine felt watched after dark and then saw two huge amber eyes about 30 to 40 feet away. When approached the eyes vanished then reappeared about seven feet high revealing a large outlined creature with long ears and muzzle that stood facing them. The group believed it breathed heavily, communicated that they should leave, and watched them until daylight.
