Ongoing activity described at a home near Shipman
In May/June 2012 around 10:30 p.m. the witness and a relative heard a loud guttural vocalization outside the home. They went to the porch and watched a large dark furry animal low to the ground run on all fours past a neighboring home, triggering motion lights. Coyotes vocalized shortly afterward, and another relative later said the sound had awakened them.

The witness and a relative were bow-hunting for turkey and had set decoys and a blind before stopping for lunch. The witness noticed a figure squatting at a trailhead across a field and alerted the relative. Both watched it stand, turn, and walk away into the woods down a slope toward the river, grabbing an overhead branch as it left. Afterwards they went to the spot and used the height of the grabbed branch to estimate the figure at about eight feet tall.

In June 2012 the witness was awakened at home by a relative who reported loud whisper-like sounds around the house. The witness then heard the sounds, described as loud whispering resembling unintelligible foreign language or gibberish. The witness checked inside the house with a flashlight to rule out an intruder, after which the sounds stopped and nothing was found.

In the early afternoon the witness and companions were walking down an old logging road when they heard strange whistling, gurgling pig-like sounds and trees shaking nearby. The witness approached to about 30 feet and saw the back of a light beige, clean-haired figure with darker face and hands holding trees, which then struck trees, turned away, and ran off on all fours while whistling continued from across the road. Companions farther away heard the whistles, thuds and thrashing but did not see the figure.

Around midnight the witness went outside to take trash to the street and saw a tall broad-shouldered silhouette with long hair standing above a 6-foot fence. She first thought it was a person or a trick of light but felt uneasy and went back inside after judging it too tall for a person. The next day she found nothing at the fence that could explain the shape, and her dog behaved unusually restless after being let outside.

The witness was driving home late at night with a relative when they noticed a tall dark ape-like figure standing on the shoulder beside a wooded area. He then heard a loud crash and heavy bipedal steps from across the creek and saw a wide, dark-brown human-like silhouette in the trees. He shouted at it, it backed away silently into foliage, and he left the area shaken.

About a week before the report, the witness was awakened at about 3:30 a.m. by repeated loud banging likened to woodblocks slamming that lasted about 10 minutes. The sounds came from dense state-owned woods behind the home, later estimated at about 70 yards to the southeast.

The figure glanced toward the vehicle and briefly raised an arm as if blocking the headlights before continuing across.

Two of them then saw a tall, muscular, reddish-brown haired biped running quickly away from the shore. They remained on the water while debating whether it could have been a deer or bear. An investigator later spoke with the couple by phone and recorded additional details about size, hair, and distance.

The witness was driving in a truck and stopped upon seeing a large hairy figure standing in a shallow creek. After shutting off the truck to watch, the witness heard a loud deep roar from across the creek but saw nothing there. When looking back, the figure had disappeared.

The father saw a heat signature peeking from behind a tree on thermal, then it darted out after he kicked a palmetto. They left, later viewing the thermal that showed it moving tree to tree.
