Two companions camping with a companion's child heard ape-like calls and slow loud knocks near a creek in the evening and knocked back with logs. Rocks were thrown into camp, and at night something bipedal walked around and brushed the tent while making sniffing sounds at the seams. The activity continued over several days with more distant knocks that seemed to approach, another large rock landing near the witness, and an ice chest found opened.

After buying five acres and building a vacation cabin, the witness reports infrequent wood knocks, a broken drain pipe, a pushed-in door frame, saw blades moved below the house, and a bird feeder repeatedly carried to the treeline. She dismissed these at the time as animals or vandals.

After moving to central Utah, the witness was riding four-wheelers down along a creek at sunset. Coming around a corner he saw a sun-lit hairy arm outstretched, then shoulder, stomach and legs of a human-like form partly in shadow by a tree watching him pass. He braked, reversed, but it was gone, with no sound of running off. He judged it a juvenile about his own height and ruled out bear from hunting experience.
Memory of a moonlight sighting as a Boy Scout at Payette Lake near McCall
The witness and a companion were walking back to their campsite at night when they stopped on a small bridge over a stream. They watched a fur-covered figure crouched at the water's edge drinking with its hand. The figure stood to at least eight feet, stared at them without blinking for a minute or two, then resumed drinking as the two left in fear.

While walking with her mother on a clear afternoon to look for her sister's lost cat, the witness saw a black hair-covered creature sitting on the roof of an abandoned house facing away. As they approached it jumped off the side toward the east, showing whitish hair on its backside, and made no audible landing sound. Her mother did not see it and suggested a cat.

The witness and his friend sat on the lit balcony to watch for the creature. The red eyes reappeared and approached quickly, revealing a very tall silhouette that appeared bipedal. After it emitted a loud scream-growl, the witness dragged his friend inside and locked all doors.

The witness went for a late-night walk in foggy conditions near beach cabins. He heard a terrifying growl and saw large red eyes approaching, making out a massive silhouette with shoulders taller than himself. After the creature lunged, he fled back to the cabin and locked himself inside.
Road crossing sighting just after sundown on Hwy 108 between Strawberry and Beardsley Lake
The witness was riding in a car following friends toward a lake campground just after dark. Friends in the lead car reported something crossing the road after a bridge, and about a minute later the witness saw a tall hair-covered figure in brush beside the road that turned to look at the car before walking toward the river and into the woods. No one else in the witness's car saw it, but both occupants of the lead car said they saw it.

In 2007 a friend camping at Tenas creek was frightened by something crashing in the woods during the night.
Possible vocalizations and an approach to a residence outside Gainesville
Late at night the witness and a relative were indoors when they heard monkey-like hooting at the window and noticed vegetation moving outside. The relative went outside with a firearm and saw further movement near the end of the house while the witness heard grunting sounds near another window. The household dog ran to the relative but then whimpered, backed away, and refused to approach the side of the house. After a quiet interval, the two heard only distant noises when they went out again at midnight.
Large bipedal animal strolls past home near the Daniel Boone National Forest
The witness reports standing in a front doorway changing a bulb when a popping sound was heard and cats ran toward them. About a minute later the witness saw a very tall, light-colored, muscular creature walking calmly in the ditch across the highway behind the mailbox. The sighting lasted several seconds under a street light at close range and left no tracks.

Six adults driving farm dirt roads at night to look at deer found the deer fleeing the pasture. They watched a large black bipedal creature cross the road in their headlights, turn, and re-enter pines within seconds. They circled back to find the area still empty of deer.

The witness was riding as a front-seat passenger in a van approaching a curve when they saw a large furry figure running upright across a crossroad and behind a billboard into brush and woods. The sighting lasted about five seconds and showed only the rear view. An impression in snow and mud, broken cedars, and a path through brush were noticed afterward.

A deer hunter in scent-masking clothes and a ghillie suit was set up on a rock overlooking a saddle at daybreak. A large dark ape-like animal threw a stick that landed behind him, then charged after he shouted and pointed his muzzleloader. He fired in front of it to deter it; it stopped, stood, grunted, and a smaller one emerged crying before both left. He abandoned his gear and found it ransacked the next day.

The witness and spouse were preparing to grill in the evening when they noticed an extremely foul dead-like odor. The witness retrieved a gun, then three loud knocks or bangs sounded on the side of the shed. The spouse backed quickly away from the shed and wooded area, and they saw nothing upon looking around.

A couple driving north on a highway in the morning reported seeing a large, apelike bipedal figure moving slowly south through a palmetto and scrub field near a highway billboard. The sighting lasted only a few seconds at highway speed. Their impression was that it was tall and uniformly brownish, with brush coming up to its thighs.
