Early on June 30, 2008, the witness was carrying trash to the curb in the dark when a loud, long ascending whoop ending in a booming oop was heard from a treeline across the street near a lake. The sound seemed aimed at the witness, carried very far, and did not match any known animal, causing fear and retreat to the garage. An owl called shortly afterward from the same area but sounded distinctly different.

The witness was hiking a mountain trail with three children who had run ahead. He noticed a large upright hairy figure moving behind the treeline about 50 to 100 yards away, watching it for less than a minute as it moved through brush and woods. He did not alert the children at the time and did not photograph it. About a year later after seeing a television program about similar sightings in the area, he decided to share the experience.

The witness loaded a weapon and waited, heard nothing further, and left at sunrise without checking for tracks. Months later, after seeing a program about primates using rocks to communicate, the witness wondered if the visit had been by an unrecognized primate.

Late at night he woke and heard a single extremely loud, high-pitched scream-like howl lasting several seconds from a few hundred yards away across a canyon. Frightened by the sound, which he perceived as territorial, he abandoned his tent and gear and drove to a nearby town to sleep. He returned at daybreak, found no tracks, and later concluded the sound matched alleged sasquatch vocalizations after comparing it to known animal recordings.

In June 2008 around 9:30 p.m., the witness was walking with a child along a road toward a farm when a strange high-pitched howl and musty odor were noticed. A tall, hairy human-like figure emerged from a cornfield and followed at a distance as they hurried toward a waiting vehicle. When vehicle headlights were turned on, the figure paused, vocalized again, and retreated quickly into the corn. The waiting adult also heard the vocalization.

The next morning while hiking a narrow brush-lined trail, the witness found a single large footprint larger than a size 11.5 boot and photographed it with the boot for scale.

An investigator hiked with two companions to the top of a rocky ridge at night to look into recurring activity. While the companions scanned with night vision and a camcorder, the investigator illuminated a sasquatch-like figure standing close below the rocks with a headlamp and watched it withdraw and walk away. The companions recorded eyeshine in the opposite direction, suggesting a second animal, and the group heard footsteps following them as they descended. They later reviewed the tape and confirmed eyeshine had been recorded.

Later that night a sheriff's spotlight illuminated the same figure at the woods edge before it left, and the couple packed up and departed.

No creature was seen.

The witnesses said it was not a known farm animal and captured it on a camcorder, though quieter on playback. They also noticed a dank, musty odor on the breeze apparently coming from the direction of the sound.

The witness interpreted the sound as Bigfoot signaling to others.

In fall 2008 the witness was driving a pickup slowly along a dirt road beside a creek toward a one-lane low-water bridge in the evening. Beside the bridge he saw a large shaggy figure he first took for a bear, which stood upright as he approached and watched him pass within a few feet. He described it as about eight feet tall with long arms, no visible neck, and a hairless human-like face. The figure then stepped into deep water, crossed the creek, and climbed the far bank holding trees, and was gone when the witness returned after dark.

A dog in the vehicle reacted to a smell at the time. Neither occupant saw the animal's face.
