The witness parked at a pullout on Highway 66 to photograph the sunset behind the mountains. While waiting in the vehicle he heard distant wood knocks and answered them with a bat, receiving replies that seemed progressively closer on the north side of the road. Later he heard a scream-howl from the south side followed by another nearby knock, after which the exchange ended.

Five people camped in a remote forest-swamp area to look for sasquatch. After they went to sleep in their tents, they were awakened a little after 4 a.m. by a very loud long yell lasting about 10 seconds from roughly 50 yards away, with coyote yelps and several shorter yells mixed in. No visual contact or further vocalizations were reported, and the witness stated they could not confirm the source.

Two people on snowmobiles stopped at a bridge in a remote snowy area and removed their helmets. While delivering newspapers in darkness, the witness heard two distinct loud vocalizations about a minute apart coming from different directions. The witness reported intense fear, unusual silence, bunched cattle, and dogs hiding. On a Friday evening the witness was at home writing music when he heard a loud howling-hoot and noticed his dogs were agitated. He went outside and briefly saw a tall, hairy creature with glowing greenish-yellow eyes and large feet by the creek-side swing. The next morning they found widespread broken limbs and a snapped tree but no footprints, and did not return.

Around midnight on January 21, 2017 the witness was making calls from the front porch and received a wood knock response from across the street, which drew the dog into the woods. When the dog went quiet the witness entered the woods, beat on an oak and shouted for the dog, then heard knocks, chest-beating, howls, a bluff charge and a tree pushed over while seeing eyeshine. After the witness told the entity to back away, the dog returned and they went home.

Around 2 a.m. he was awakened by extremely loud gorilla-like bellows, howls, and a snarling growl that seemed to vibrate through his body. After he shouted a warning and fired a shot toward advancing growls, two unseen creatures charged through the brush chasing him to the road, where they stopped as he fled to his truck.

The witness and a companion were harvesting ginseng when they heard repeated unusual sounds including a low growl and a loud siren-like tone. Over several minutes they heard heavy fast footsteps and watched smaller trees shake violently while catching partial glimpses of a large bipedal creature that kept trees between itself and them. Several trees snapped and fell in the same direction, and rocks were later seen rolling down a nearby point. The pair inspected freshly broken trees before leaving the area the way they came.

After the witness struck a tree with a stick, they twice heard very loud vocalizations estimated to be about fifty yards away.
