The witness and a companion parked to take a daytime walk near a river bridge. After the witness struck a tree with a stick, they twice heard very loud vocalizations estimated to be about fifty yards away. After returning to the car they then heard very loud knocking sounds before driving off. The report states this was not a visual incident.

The witness later returned to the area, heard nothing, but found two adult deer carcasses torn apart with bones scattered in a field.
