Experienced hunters find a possible track-line in the snow on Blue Mountain and share a photo
The witness and a companion were on a winter afternoon drive when the companion spotted tracks in a snow-covered field. They found a single set of large bare-foot-like prints with distinct heel and toes leading toward trees, far larger than the companion's foot with a long stride. A relative brought back to the site was also puzzled, and one print was photographed alongside a boot for scale.
Boar hunters find fresh footprints north of Lake Cachuma
Two hunters on a hillside noticed movement below them and went downhill to investigate but found nothing. About 5-10 minutes later after climbing back to the trail they found large deep footprints overlying their own earlier footprints. They followed the prints for about a mile to a vantage point where the trail ahead was empty, then gave up and returned.

The witness and a companion were staying at a closed lakeside resort in winter to ski on the snow-covered beach. Shortly after setting out in the afternoon they found two sets of very large footprints in the snow running along the bay. They followed the tracks and found body-sized impressions where the makers appeared to have lain and moved limbs in the snow, then found a partly eaten fish near a dock. As dusk approached they left the area and saw nothing further that night.
Two young men have a face to face encounter
The witness and his cousin heard noises outside the house for about 20 minutes and went into the backyard with a flashlight. They saw a tall hair-covered figure standing just beyond a six-foot fence staring at them. After a few seconds they ran back inside frightened. The next morning they found two deep impressions in the sandy soil beyond the fence.

While deer hunting with three family members near Whatum Lake, the witness found and followed a trackway of huge human-like footprints. Near where the tracks crossed a road the group found berry-filled scat, and later found another set of similar tracks in an old burn area. No creature was seen; the group concluded the tracks were from bigfoot.

The witness was elk hunting on horseback in the Idaho wilderness with a companion when their horses became unmanageable near a ridgetop. They discovered very large fresh human-like footprints in snow that did not look like bear tracks. After moving away, they learned that two hunters camped in the next valley had abandoned camp after reporting a screaming animal throwing logs and destroying their camp.

The witness was sleeping at a sandy riverside camp when dogs barked then became frightened and quiet. With eyes kept shut, the witness heard something walking in the water, noticed a strong urine-like odor, and felt something brush their hair during an encounter lasting several minutes. At daybreak, very large foot-like indentations were found in dry and wet sand around the sleeping area, campfire and tent.

In late July 1974 the witness walked with his parents and dog south along a trail toward thick woods. As they walked they heard loud cracks, pops and snaps from the treeline that seemed to parallel their movement, smelled rotten garbage, and the dog became fearful. Near the site of a previously found stick shelter they heard a tree snap and crash nearby, then turned back while snapping sounds seemed to follow them to the clearing.
Camper hears screams while camping in Kennebunk, Maine
The witness and a companion camped overnight in a tent in scrub pine after returning from a motorcycle rally. Late at night something approached the tent, producing a strong odor, audible movement, breathing and ground vibration, and a loud scream that continued intermittently before leaving. At daylight the witness found large indistinct impressions in grass and broken ferns leading toward a cliff but no clear tracks.
Two brothers see and verbally confront upright, walking, hairy creature
Two brothers on an early morning run outside town saw an upright, fully hairy creature cross the road onto a gravel road. After one shouted, the creature turned to face them in a brief standoff of about 45 seconds, then walked away around a bend. Minutes later they found large barefoot tracks in light snow and noted a slight lingering odor.

At dusk the witness's dog froze at a tree line and fled. The armed teenager pushed into a clearing and stood within fifteen feet of an eight-foot hairy biped moving leaves with its foot. A second shorter but still large individual joined it. The witness ran home and tracked both with friends the next morning until frost melted.

Around 3 a.m. the dogs reacted, floodlights came on, and a huge shadow crossed the wall. The witness peeked out the front picture window and saw a very tall hairy biped that flexed and screamed. It then walked along the fence, ate a wild watermelon, drank from a neighbor's man-made lake, and left toward the swamp. Next morning large footprints were found but were trampled before casting.
Two campers find a 17 inch footprint near their camp
The witness and a companion were backpacking to fish when they missed a trail marker and camped overnight on a bluff below a canyon rim. The witness reported feeling watched overnight. The next morning the companion found a single large five-toed footprint in wet sand near a spring about 80 feet from camp, which both examined. Noting rain the prior morning had left drop patterns everywhere except the print, and smelling a musty odor, they left the area.
Memory of a possible encounter as young girls riding horses at night near the Coralville Reservoir
Four girls were riding horses on a moonlit night when their horses stopped and focused on a hilltop ahead. They heard a loud guttural growl mixed with vowel-like sounds and wood snapping, which frightened them. They galloped back to the farm where they were staying. The next morning they found a small wooden corral they had built on that hilltop broken apart.
Tracks in Kentucky (1973)
The following spring the grandfather woke the guest and his brother on Easter morning to show deep large footprints in mud outside the bedroom window trailing to the parents window and front porch. To keep the mother from seeing them the grandfather had the boys wash the tracks away with well water. Later that day the brothers found matching large tracks in the field where the 1972 figure stood, measured one at about 19 inches, then heard an owl-like hoot tapering to a growl and fled.

On a snowy cold day two teenage friends walked railroad tracks and found fresh animal intestines in the snow with no animal footprints around. On the embankment above they found dozens of large barefoot human-like prints, a wide seat impression and fist print. An adult later documented three sizes, the largest about eighteen inches.
Family camping at Lake Somerville is menaced by a loud screaming creature
The witness and relatives were camped overnight when a foul stench filled the air and an extremely loud scream beginning as a growl was heard. The dog hid, and rounds fired into the air temporarily drove the source away, but it returned repeatedly until dawn despite a large fire. Nothing was ever seen and no unusual tracks were found, though a nearby stand of broken saplings carried the same odor.

A group stopped their pickup on an unfamiliar foggy road to scout ahead on foot. Hearing rocks tumbling and then finding large fresh footprints crossing their recent path, they ran back to the vehicle. While turning the truck around, the writer saw a large dark hairy biped about 50 feet behind them look at them and keep going.
Snowmobiler finds large barefoot tracks in upper peninsula of Michigan
The witness was snowmobiling through a remote marshy area in February when they came upon a trail of barefoot human-like prints in deep crusted snow. They stopped to examine the trail and concluded the prints were not from a bear, snowshoes, or anything familiar. Frightened by the size and human appearance of the tracks, they left the area quickly.

The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.
