Four girls were riding horses on a moonlit night when their horses stopped and focused on a hilltop ahead. They heard a loud guttural growl mixed with vowel-like sounds and wood snapping, which frightened them. They galloped back to the farm where they were staying. The next morning they found a small wooden corral they had built on that hilltop broken apart.

Small three-sided play corral built from 2x4 boards was found snapped and torn from trees the next morning.
Measurements: 2 x 4s
The witnesses rode back to the hilltop the next morning and found their small board corral snapped apart and pulled from the trees.

An investigator spoke repeatedly by phone and in person with the primary witness, who compared the sound to a samurai chatter recording, and also spoke with a second witness.
