Man recalls family experiencing possible intimidation near Ann Arbor
Account
In late July 1974 the witness walked with his parents and dog south along a trail toward thick woods. As they walked they heard loud cracks, pops and snaps from the treeline that seemed to parallel their movement, smelled rotten garbage, and the dog became fearful. Near the site of a previously found stick shelter they heard a tree snap and crash nearby, then turned back while snapping sounds seemed to follow them to the clearing.

Measurements: roughly six meters in diameter
branches broken and twisted off and small trees snapped off or bent over near shelter site
Measurements: trees roughly anywhere from 5 to 18 centimeters in size
