Piercing scream heard by twelve people near Mays Lick
The witness's husband and another adult were sitting with boys camping in the woods on a moonlit night when the husband noticed a figure moving between trees, with moonlight visible between its legs. The group left the woods, and the next day the witness found footprints and poured a mold of one, plus other ground and vegetation signs. The investigator later reported the couple described a seven-foot-tall, wide-shouldered creature with a cone-shaped head and no neck.

The witness was hiking with his wife on a lakeside trail and kneeling to photograph mosses when he noticed a large footprint in soft soil. He photographed it from overhead and with his shoe for scale, but found no other prints due to heavy leaf litter. The husband noticed large barefoot-like impressions in mud and shallow water while working near the pond and called his wife to see them. They described three size groupings with five toes and arches, all larger than his shod foot. No photographs were taken and the print area was later underwater.

About a mile from Highway 4 they noticed a line of large deep impressions in the snow on the shoulder and stopped to examine them. The witness photographed the trail and submitted it as a possible track trail.

On a return visit he also heard repeated short whistle-like sounds receding from the creek area but saw no source.

On June 20, 2004 around 2 a.m., the witness was watching TV at home when she noticed a large dark shadow looking in through full-length windows facing the woods. The shape moved when she turned off the TV, and she remained in the recliner overnight. After discussing the prints, which were wider and longer than a 12-inch flashlight with a very long stride, a nearby tree began shaking violently and dropping snow and branches, prompting them to run back to the car and leave.

While preparing a field for planting, workers found large five-toed tracks and two very large cylindrical feces in a freshly plowed field. The tracks led from a grassy area onto a dirt road, into the field where the maker appeared to squat, dig up and eat turtle eggs, then continued into bordering woods. The reporter photographed the sign with a yardstick, made left and right foot casts, and collected fecal and eggshell samples for examination.

He described the animal as over seven feet tall, heavily built, with long muscular arms and no visible neck.
