Mountain runner spots large, deep footprints on Stuart Fork Trail in Trinity Alps
The witness was hiking and running on the Stuart Fork Trail where it enters Morris Meadows when he noticed about a dozen large footprints beside the trail. The prints were estimated at about 15 inches long and over four feet apart and appeared much deeper than nearby boot prints, with debris pressed into them. The witness photographed the prints but noted the trail gets heavy use, suggested a prank or overlapping boot prints as likely, and stated he does not believe in Bigfoot.

The tracks led from a grassy area onto a dirt road, into the field where the maker appeared to squat, dig up and eat turtle eggs, then continued into bordering woods. The reporter photographed the sign with a yardstick, made left and right foot casts, and collected fecal and eggshell samples for examination.

A group of about 15 people discovered two sets of large footprints in an open sandy area among pine trees and followed them for roughly 800 to 1,000 feet without seeing the animals. A witness later gave measurements of about 15 by 5 inches for the larger prints and 10 by 4 inches for the smaller. The group also reported finding fine light-brown hair on a tree and taking photos of the prints, though the photos were not available for the report.

The witness was camping overnight with friends in the Mount Baker National Forest near the river. Between 2 and 3 a.m. she heard movement approach her tent and brush against it, while a companion in a truck reportedly felt a nudge and saw a fleeting shadow. The next morning the witness found multiple large footprints around her tent, the trail and vehicles and made a plaster cast of the clearest one. While waiting alone in camp later that day she heard persistent clicking from the woods and felt watched.

The print was measured, photographed, and cast, and the surrounding area was searched for additional sign without success. The witness states the origin of the print is undetermined.

The witness and a companion were walking dogs along Redwood Creek in the afternoon and waded across to examine sandbars on the south bank. A short distance upstream they found three large footprints that appeared to enter the water. The clearest print was long and narrow with five toes and no arch, measured at about 14.5 inches with about a 4-foot stride, and no clear exit trail was located.

The witness was scouting an area southwest of Louse Camp near Bluff Creek in the morning and found a single large footprint in an old mud puddle, which they recorded on video. The print was described as 16 inches long and almost 6 inches wide at the heel. Several snapped trees were also noted in the area.

The witness and his sister examined three large barefoot-like impressions found on a closed section of trail near timberline. The clearest impression showed a heel, arch, ball and five toes and was compared on video to a size-12 hiking boot. The witness, brother, and mother also reported very large human-shaped bare footprints with a long stride in a dirt roadway, with no casts or photos taken. They also reported finding twisted and broken tree limbs nearby and submitted photos of the damage, described as occurring where machine cause was unlikely.

The witness was hiking alone along a creek on a relative's wooded property during the day. At a bend in the trail they found a single very large human-like footprint in mud at the water's edge, with disturbed sand in the creek and a wet mark on a rock opposite. They reported seeing, hearing, and smelling nothing else, measured the print against a rifle barrel, and described it as not a bear track but possibly Sasquatch while noting they never saw the maker.

Two companions camping near Index walked down an overgrown disused road to photograph the river. Along the way they noticed small trees broken off high above the ground, then found a single very large right footprint in a soft spot in the road. The print was much larger than the companion's size 10.5 to 11 foot, no other prints showed in the firm soil, and they photographed it for scale.

The witness visited a relative's house after a goose was found dead with a broken neck, punctures, and missing insides. She also reports finding a four-toed footprint, flattened weeds suggesting something had lain down and walked through, and damage to a chicken-coop roof. The witness was driving slowly looking for a fishing spot in mid-afternoon when an animal crossed the road almost in front of the truck. He saw only its back, one arm, and coned head for a few seconds before it disappeared into riverside foliage. After turning around he found a couple of large footprints with a long stride. He described the animal as over seven feet tall, heavily built, with long muscular arms and no visible neck.

Two siblings camped in a remote forest clearing and heard movement, a log being turned, then three extremely loud long screams from about 100 yards away. They hid in their tent, and in the middle of the night the witness heard unintelligible deep speech-like talking very close outside. In the morning they found large barefoot prints behind a bush and later found their tent flipped over when they returned.

The couple hunted an 80-acre property for years, finding straight-line tracks, a high snapped limb, and hearing knocks and strange ridge noises. A relative saw a tall black bipedal figure walking up the creek. Small objects left on stacked tin were moved and exchanged over several days.

At night while using a computer at home, the witness heard odd sounds and saw a bigfoot looking in through the back window. The witness greeted it, and it turned away and walked toward the field behind the house. The witness later found a large footprint with apparent dermal ridges on the bank behind the house and reported talk-like voices that could not be imitated.
