The witness and a companion were hunting raccoons at night with a hound that first treed a raccoon then pursued another animal through forest. After the dog returned frightened and stayed close, the pair tried to walk out in darkness with failing lights. For an hour or two they heard something large circling them with heavy footfalls and crashing vegetation and small trees breaking nearby, but they never saw the source.
Grouse twice left on trail for hiker
On June 5th 2004 the witness was leading a group at a large archaeological site when the witness struck a large branch against a dry pine to try calling a response. No response was heard at the time. About four hundred yards along the exit trail the group found a dead grouse placed in the middle of the trail with wings tucked, still slightly warm, interpreted as a fresh placement similar to an earlier find.

The witness was grading a remote forest road around noon when he spotted a large hairy creature about 200 yards ahead standing by the road and looking at him. After watching for about a minute, the creature crossed the road in three steps and disappeared into the woods. The witness drove to the crossing point and found large human-like footprints and broken branches, left food and water, and found them untouched on his return pass.

About an hour later the witness heard a loud boom close to the tent. The witness was driving slowly along a ridge-line dirt road during a boundary survey at midday when a black figure was spotted among trees. Initially mistaken for a stump and then a bear, the figure was judged too thin and tall to be a bear. As the vehicle closed to close range, the figure sprinted across the road on two legs and disappeared into trees.

While walking back to the truck through knee-deep snow he heard twigs snapping and footsteps running through thick woods alongside him. He ran to the truck, heard a deep elk-like grunt, and saw pines shaking with snow falling off as he left. He returned two weeks later and found snapped-off saplings.

A deer hunter sat in a tree stand on a crisp clear morning while noticing a strong foul odor. While walking back along an old logging trail around 10 a.m., the hunter saw a very large upright hairy animal step onto the trail, pause and look, then calmly walk away bipedally. The hunter ran the opposite direction, dropping gear, and later returned to find no tracks but noted a freshly broken branch.

Late at night the witness heard loud walking with dragging footsteps downhill near a path and, with a parent, approached and fired shots without deterring it. Overnight the campers were awakened by sounds around the camp followed by a loud crash, and by morning the food hung high above ground was gone, the supporting limb was damaged, and a foul smell lingered. The group then packed and left the area.

While working as night watchmen at a logging site, the female witness walked back from checking equipment at dusk and heard a snorkeling sound by the creek. She saw a large fur-covered creature on its knees drinking, which then stood up very tall and stepped over a stump. She ran screaming toward the trailer while the creature also screamed, and her companion heard it screaming and breaking trees as it moved away.

Shortly after driving away, the witness saw a tall black hair-covered figure standing at the treeline staring with eyes that tracked the car, stopped briefly in shock, then left the area without returning.

The witness was scouting an area southwest of Louse Camp near Bluff Creek in the morning and found a single large footprint in an old mud puddle, which they recorded on video. The print was described as 16 inches long and almost 6 inches wide at the heel. Several snapped trees were also noted in the area.

The witness and a companion were hiking back from Irely Lake in dim evening light when they heard a loud sustained roar-growl from about 100 yards away in the forest. The sound was unlike any bear or mountain lion they knew and never repeated, prompting them to hurry back to their car. The pair later expressed certainty that the vocalization was a sasquatch.

The witness reports hearing various vocalizations at night during summer at a family home bordering National Forest in Sly Park, last heard the previous summer, experienced with a brother. The witness, brother, and mother also reported very large human-shaped bare footprints with a long stride in a dirt roadway, with no casts or photos taken. They also reported finding twisted and broken tree limbs nearby and submitted photos of the damage, described as occurring where machine cause was unlikely.

Two companions camping near Index walked down an overgrown disused road to photograph the river. Along the way they noticed small trees broken off high above the ground, then found a single very large right footprint in a soft spot in the road. The print was much larger than the companion's size 10.5 to 11 foot, no other prints showed in the firm soil, and they photographed it for scale.
Unusual sounds heard near Enumclaw
Two people became locked behind gates on dirt access roads and had to spend the night in their car. After dark they repeatedly heard loud wood-on-wood knocking sounds very close each time they stopped the car. They moved the car several times to different roads, but the knocking resumed shortly after each stop and continued until sunrise. After sunrise they noticed a bark wound high on a tree near the car.
