Around 2am the witness was driving a coworker home when headlights revealed red eyes behind a tree. The figure peeked out with its head tilted, then turned to show its chest, arm, shoulder and legs before taking one step and vanishing. The witness described it as huge, about 7-8 feet tall with very wide shoulders and grayish hair mixed with black, and said the companion confirmed seeing it.

The driver was traveling home late at night with a companion when a very large dark bipedal figure ran across the road ahead of the vehicle. The figure crossed in only a few strides at high speed and disappeared into the treeline where bushes shook but no trail was visible. The companion did not see it, and the driver slowed but did not turn back to investigate.

The witness was lying in bed and looked up through a gap above the air conditioner in the bedroom window. In the yard light glow they saw a large dark head with a black face looking down at them. The head stared for several seconds, turned away briefly as if distracted, then looked back. Frightened, the witness turned away, asked it to leave, and did not look back.

Late at night the witness went outside to check on a barking dog and shone a headlamp over an orchard fence. About 20 yards away an upright figure stared at the witness and the dog before leaving into the surrounding woods. The witness noted reddish-brown fur, a flat bare face and orange-looking eyes, with follow-up details adding height and muscular build.

Two people were sitting on the tailgate of a parked truck on a vacant road at dusk when the reporting witness went to the cab for a phone and saw a small dark hairy biped about 15 yards away. The entity ran across the road from left to right in a few seconds, paused without looking, then entered the woods while making running noise heard by both people. The pair waited in the truck in fear for several minutes before driving away.

The witness was hunting squirrels alone late in the afternoon along an old road near a swamp. After smelling a strong foul odor and hearing growls, hoot-like sounds, footsteps and brush movement, the witness continued toward a clearing. The witness then saw a tall reddish hairy creature cross the road behind them in one step and run into the brush, then ran to the truck and left.

A large hair-covered upright figure emerged from woods about 50 feet away, crossed the road and a field to the river treeline, pausing briefly to look around. The witness locked the doors and turned on the headlights, frightened by the encounter.

The witness and her husband drove a remote track until a stream blocked their car and then explored on foot along the bank. The witness reported a strong feeling of being watched from a wooded hillside and then found a very large human-like footprint in ground too firm to show their own tracks. Two companions were walking at night toward a house when a noise at the treeline drew their attention. One companion fled while the witness briefly watched a huge dark-haired figure step down an embankment into the road about 30 feet away, hearing a grunt and smelling a musky pine odor. Both ran to the house and dogs chased the figure, with sounds of a violent struggle including roaring and shrieks before the dogs returned, one injured and another with blood on its mouth.
Elk hunters find two sets of bare-foot tracks in the snow near Palmer Junction
While elk hunting, the witness and companions walked a logging road to meet another party member and found very large tracks in hardened snow that wandered on and off the road. The tracks came in two sizes, crushed the snow to the gravel, and had not been present that morning. The third party member had also noticed the tracks independently, and the group did not follow them and returned to camp.

The witness was archery hunting from a ground blind near a hog wallow when he heard close grunting and breathing that he could not see. After the sounds stopped he inspected the area and found very large scat and large deep tracks leading to and away from the scat. He first assumed hogs and then a very large bear made the sign, but later judged the scat too large for a Florida black bear.

The witness was following dogs while hunting raccoons in the woods with a party. A loud scream, loud crashing noises, and an awful smell were encountered. The dogs returned scared to the trucks, with one smelling of skunk.
Archery hunter recalls daytime sighting on Mt. Emily
While driving to the summit with his wife, the witness noticed a dark figure sitting at the base of a tree that he first mistook for a hunter. The figure stood up, walked across the road behind their vehicle, paused about 30 seconds to look at them, then descended a steep hillside out of sight. The witness estimated it at about 8 feet tall by a nearby tree and described it as massive, dark brown and long-haired with wide shoulders and long arms.

A truck driver was sitting in his truck at night on the outskirts of a swamp during an oil loading operation. He reported a strong gamey smell and, after turning on the headlights, saw a large ape-like creature with red eyes staring at him. He panicked and drove away with the loading hose still attached, spilling oil, and afterward refused to do night loads.
