The witness was driving a semi-truck south at night and cycled the headlights for an oncoming car. When the high beams came back on, a tall thin blonde-haired creature was seen crossing a clearing and the road ahead without looking toward the truck. It covered the width in two strides with a steady walking gait and continued into woods on the other side.

They glimpsed an ape-like biped charging away through thick brush, breaking limbs and leaving a foul odor. Afterwards they noted disturbed rocks and a partial heel print that later dried out and was not photographed.

The witness was walking along a roadside in Columbia, Missouri around 1:30 a.m. when a large bipedal creature paralleled him from behind a tree line. He stopped to face it and described a tall dark-haired figure with a cone-shaped head that emitted a low growl. After he looked away and kept walking, the creature followed briefly then disappeared.

The witness was driving on a gravel mountain road in the early morning when he saw a small dark animal sitting in the road. A tall brown-haired female came from the woods, picked up the juvenile and carried it back into the trees. After the witness got out of his car a rock struck the car and a much larger dark individual appeared behind the car, vocalized loudly, then crossed the road into the woods. The witness drove a short distance ahead, stopped, heard movement in the woods and had more small rocks thrown toward him before leaving.

A truck driver hauling potatoes south on I-15 at night drove into fog and saw eyeshine beside the road. When he switched to bright lights, he saw a large hairy biped striding across the freeway from left to right about 20 feet away. He swerved to miss it, regained control, pulled over briefly while shaken, then drove on and called relatives to report the incident.

The witness then watched an animal drop from a tree about six to eight feet up, land on its hind legs, take a few upright steps, then move to all fours and run quickly into the treeline. The witness fled toward the highway. The animal was described as large, muscular and fur-covered, tan or light brown in the moonlight.

Despite prior experience with bears and mountain lions, the frightened witness loaded his rifle, backed away without turning, and drove off.
