The witness and a companion were walking home from a park through forest when they saw a tall hair-covered figure about 40 yards away. The figure was in a half-squat, then backed up and stood fully upright, at an estimated height of at least seven feet. Both witnesses fled the scene immediately.

The investigator had previously made knock recordings and heard calls in the same area.
An investigator returned to the site with the witness a few days later, made a call that received an immediate howl reply, with further replies to repeated calls.
The following weekend two investigators sat in the area for hours doing knocks and calls and heard a loud gibbon-like whoop from three directions.
