Forest Service surveyor finds over 20 large foot prints along a forest service road
The witness stopped after noticing large footprints on the side of a road and found over 20 tracks that entered the woods, crossed the road, and continued into the woods. The tracks had five toes, were larger than the witness's size-12 boot, and sank deeper than the witness's boot print. Deer tracks and deer hair were also present around the tracks. The witness left to get a camera and returned to take five Polaroid photos of the tracks.

In the summer of 1979 the witness and a companion had pulled off the road east of Seneca when they heard a loud shrieking growl. A large human-like animal approached their vehicle in bounding steps. The witness shouted for the companion to get in, locked the doors, and fled at high speed, remaining frightened and avoiding that road afterward.

The figure then crashed through the creek and willows up the hillside out of sight, after which the pair left hastily.

Overnight at a cabin, the wife noticed a strong odor, heard a metallic bang on the back porch and crunching footsteps moving toward the driveway. The responding officer searched the grounds and found a human-looking left-foot track near the front porch, described as about 14 inches long.
