Dusk sighting by a US Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer on the beach south of Tillamook
Account
A couple camping on a remote Oregon beach at dusk watched a very large, dark, hair-covered biped walk back and forth on the sand several times, at times passing close by. The witness later found very large, deep footprints where it had walked and, when it approached again at night, shouted and then fled to camp. Both stayed through the night without further sightings and photographed the tracks at daybreak.

An investigator located the beach site shortly after the sighting, looked around, and reported finding nothing.
About a year later the witness returned with an investigator, pushed through thick brush where tracks had led east, and found a tall wide honed-out trail leading up to the highway.
