Overnight at a cabin, the wife noticed a strong odor, heard a metallic bang on the back porch and crunching footsteps moving toward the driveway. She woke her husband, who went outside with a flashlight and found a strong smell and large man-like footprints where frozen food stored under a wash tub had been disturbed. Investigators visited a week later, examined remaining tracks, took photographs and measurements, and collected hair.

Large man-like snow footprints on and near porch and near spring, along route from road past vehicle to spring and around house, showing five toes with toe ridges and double ball.
Measurements: 16" - 17" long, 7" - 8" wide at ball, 1.5" - 2.5" deep
Plaster poured into snow track by residents in two batches, first too runny, later recovered by investigators showing only basic outline and foot contours.
