The witness was sleeping at a sandy riverside camp when dogs barked then became frightened and quiet. With eyes kept shut, the witness heard something walking in the water, noticed a strong urine-like odor, and felt something brush their hair during an encounter lasting several minutes. At daybreak, very large foot-like indentations were found in dry and wet sand around the sleeping area, campfire and tent.

As they walked they heard loud cracks, pops and snaps from the treeline that seemed to parallel their movement, smelled rotten garbage, and the dog became fearful. Near the site of a previously found stick shelter they heard a tree snap and crash nearby, then turned back while snapping sounds seemed to follow them to the clearing.

The witness and a companion camped overnight in a tent in scrub pine after returning from a motorcycle rally. Late at night something approached the tent, producing a strong odor, audible movement, breathing and ground vibration, and a loud scream that continued intermittently before leaving. At daylight the witness found large indistinct impressions in grass and broken ferns leading toward a cliff but no clear tracks.

Two brothers on an early morning run outside town saw an upright, fully hairy creature cross the road onto a gravel road. After one shouted, the creature turned to face them in a brief standoff of about 45 seconds, then walked away around a bend. Minutes later they found large barefoot tracks in light snow and noted a slight lingering odor.

He swam about 100 feet into a cavern, surfaced under the area used for bikes and horses, and encountered an overpowering stench that burned his eyes and made breathing hard. About a week after the first sighting, gunshots were heard from the nearby horse stable. The witness rode over and learned a large creature had grabbed a wild horse from behind. The horse kicked free, jumped the corral, and fled while the rancher shot at the creature. Next day the horse showed hand-like pressure marks, not claw scratches, on its hindquarters.

Four girls were riding horses on a moonlit night when their horses stopped and focused on a hilltop ahead. They heard a loud guttural growl mixed with vowel-like sounds and wood snapping, which frightened them. They galloped back to the farm where they were staying. The next morning they found a small wooden corral they had built on that hilltop broken apart.

The following spring the grandfather woke the guest and his brother on Easter morning to show deep large footprints in mud outside the bedroom window trailing to the parents window and front porch. To keep the mother from seeing them the grandfather had the boys wash the tracks away with well water. Later that day the brothers found matching large tracks in the field where the 1972 figure stood, measured one at about 19 inches, then heard an owl-like hoot tapering to a growl and fled.

The dog hid, and rounds fired into the air temporarily drove the source away, but it returned repeatedly until dawn despite a large fire. Nothing was ever seen and no unusual tracks were found, though a nearby stand of broken saplings carried the same odor.

Hearing rocks tumbling and then finding large fresh footprints crossing their recent path, they ran back to the vehicle. The witness was snowmobiling through a remote marshy area in February when they came upon a trail of barefoot human-like prints in deep crusted snow. They stopped to examine the trail and concluded the prints were not from a bear, snowshoes, or anything familiar. The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

Hundreds of very large footprints were found in hard river silt and followed for about two miles up the riverbank and into dense bush. The maker reportedly dug with its toes on a hillside climb and grabbed trees, uprooting smaller ones. The account was relayed by a relative of the tracker, with a track photograph later reported to exist.

They left quickly in the car, with the witness feeling the source was too big to be people.

The witness, then a child, was hunting with the witness's father and a companion along a river when a very loud single scream lasting several seconds stopped the group and frightened them. The older hunters reportedly had never heard a similar animal sound. As the group left the area, the companion reported movement in nearby trees and large footprints in the river sand.
