Around 3:30 a.m. the witness heard a loud rifle shot from the neighboring preserve followed by a loud dual-toned scream that raced behind the house from east to west. When asked later, the neighbor's son refused to discuss it, and all activity at the property stopped afterward.

While deer hunting in December, the witness walked to within about ten yards of a dark ape-like creature sitting with its back to him. It looked at him, dropped to all fours to gallop about thirty yards, then stood and ran up through thick brush. He followed it to a logging road where it repeatedly stepped onto rocks, snarled and showed its teeth, then calmed and left up a deer trail while other footsteps were heard running above.

The witness and a companion stopped while driving on a dirt trail when the companion saw a tall brown figure cross the road. The witness got out to check and reported seeing a black-faced, ape-like animal with sandy-brown hair peering from brush about 25 feet away. After a few seconds it stood fully upright and ran bipedally into the pines, and the pair later heard bipedal running approaching the car before leaving.

The witness was gathering firewood behind the house at night when whooping sounds were heard coming from dark woods about 100 yards away. Horses were heard bolting nearby and the witness's dog barked toward the woods while a faint zoo-like odor was smelled. The event lasted about one to two minutes and the witness felt watched without ever seeing the source.

Two friends camped deep along a river between mountains in winter with no one else around. Around midnight they heard a huge splash as something jumped into deep water and waded across toward them with bipedal splashes. It stopped at the bank in darkness for a long silent period, then circled the camp staying just beyond firelight before leaving up the hillside. They waited until sunrise without sleep and hiked out without checking for tracks.

After a few steps they saw a very tall, broad figure that stopped and looked toward them, which startled them so they ran back inside the house. Soon after they heard banging sounds described like rocks being thrown at the house, but found no one outside when they checked.

The witness and a relative were elk hunting and following two blood trails in a steep ravine at dusk. After a wounded bull ran past the witness, a very loud angry howl or growl came from the wooded hill below. The sound was described as far louder than an elk bugle and spooked horses in the area, and a strong foul odor was noted.

The witness was driving home at night through a canyon pass when the headlights revealed a tall, big bipedal animal crossing the highway into a gully. The witness repositioned the vehicle to shine light into the gully but could not relocate it, hearing rocks rolling as it moved up. While standing in front of the truck the witness heard a very loud scream/roar described as gorilla-like but higher pitched, which prompted leaving the area immediately.

Late at night at their home, the husband went outside to smoke and heard loud strange vocalizations coming from the creek area and called his wife to listen. She also heard loud, deep, resonant sounds pulsing at intervals that grew closer to the house and crossed the adjacent field. Unable to see anything in the darkness, they turned off lights and searched with a flashlight but found nothing, and the sound stopped after she closed a window.

The witness was deer hunting on a friend's wooded property in Pennsylvania during buck season in 2005. From a ridge he watched a single hairy biped for about 10 to 12 minutes as it broke a small pine tree, investigated the stump, and appeared to eat ants from a rotten stump. The creature sniffed the air, showed no aggression, then walked away apparently unaware of the witness. The witness noted an apparent left arm injury and described the animal as about his own height, thin, and more human-like than expected.

On Saturday morning they began hearing very loud guttural scream-growls that seemed to warn them away from certain areas, including the path to the lake, and the sounds continued into Sunday. Overnight they heard cooking gear clanging and a heavy thump like logs dumped beside their trailer, but in the morning the gear was largely in place and no logs were found, and the companion also reported a strong putrid smell.

While leaving through a creek bottom at dusk, he heard rocks striking and rolling downstream several times before driving out without seeing the source.
