Calls heard by hunter and his girlfriend near Old Railroad Grade
Account
The witness and a companion hiked out toward their vehicle after hunting as darkness fell. During the walk they noticed an out-of-place foul odor and later heard rustling beside the road without seeing the source. Shortly after, they heard a very loud two-toned whoo-hoo call repeated four times from behind them near a creek crossing, which the witness felt must come from a very large animal unlike known wildlife. Frightened, they left the woods quickly and later felt online recordings matched what they heard.
