Hunters experience odor, vocalization near Wynoochee Valley Road
Account
The reporter and a companion were walking about two miles back to their vehicle after hunting when they noticed a foul burnt-garbage odor and rustling in roadside bushes without seeing anything. Shortly after, from behind them near a creek crossing, they heard four very loud two-toned calls that echoed and seemed to come from a very large animal. Unable to identify the sound as elk, deer, bear, cougar or bird, they suspected a sasquatch, became frightened, and hurried out of the woods.
