Deer Hunter watches a bigfoot run across a field and into the forest behind him

While bow-hunting deer from a tree stand at approaching dark, the witness saw a dark figure run quickly through brush and across openings, covering in seconds ground that had taken minutes to walk. The figure was described as taller than the witness and black all over with a hump on its back. Afterward the witness left quickly and learned a hunting companion nearby had heard movement but seen nothing, and checkout staff said no other hunters were in the area.

A witness went to fill deer feeders in a river bottom in late afternoon and found a feeder tangled in a tree. While investigating, the witness followed glimpses of a shaggy animal through thick cover to a river crossing where it stepped into the open and was seen upright for about 10 seconds before leaving. After it left, the witness heard a loud snap behind and left the area.

The witness and a relative were walking in a meadow below ranch buildings around dusk when they heard a prolonged loud screaming vocalization from nearby trees and heard movement circling the meadow. They retreated to ranch buildings and continued hearing vocalizations around the ranch overnight. The next day they found no tracks on frozen ground but found a large handprint with long fingers on a food storeroom door.

During a day of deer hunting, the witness saw a face-like form crouched under a fir tree about 100 yards away that she felt resembled drawn depictions of Sasquatch. Later that evening she and her husband heard prolonged loud howling and screaming from the timberline that stopped abruptly when her husband stood to leave. They left without seeing the source of the sound and later interpreted the face, odor mentioned earlier in the day, and vocalizations as related.

The witness reports stopping a car on a wooded road at night to urinate and seeing an animal on all fours about 40 yards away that was first mistaken for a deer. The creature then stood on two legs, made a loud unfamiliar noise, and was viewed in the headlights as tall, hair-covered, and red-eyed. After the witness honked, it reportedly screamed again and ran into the trees.

After the sounds stopped he climbed down, glassed the area without seeing anything, and later left apples on a stump that were gone when he retrieved the stand.

The witness was sleeping outdoors with a group during a canoe trip, in sleeping bags arranged in a circle around a fire pit. In the middle of the night the witness heard loud, heavy footsteps with a step-pause pattern moving nearby for an extended period before leaving toward the woods. No other group members reported hearing the sounds, and no footprints were found the next morning.

Four people in a house heard very loud deep shrieks from beyond the backyard tree line at night. Two of them went onto the patio with a rifle and flashlight; when the light was pointed at the treeline the shrieks stopped and something was heard moving away through the woods while grunting deeply. The next day the witness followed a wide trail of fresh tree damage through the woods for about two hours.

The witness and a companion camped by a lake and heard loud branch-snapping sounds every 30 seconds or so for hours after sundown in complete darkness. They concluded the sounds could not be other campers or a bear and attributed them to Bigfoot. After the witness went to sleep in a van around 12:30 a.m., food was taken from the picnic table, with the companion reporting something running through camp around 3:30 a.m., and in the morning cookies were found scattered and a bread wrapper was found 50 yards away.

Two witnesses were fishing from a dock near a campground in the evening when they heard a loud roaring scream from along the lake. Shortly afterward a nearby fisherman was seen fleeing the area where the sound originated. The witnesses joined him and all three ran to the campground, where he said something had been right next to him. The two original witnesses then broke camp and drove home.

Witnesses heard what they described as a "roaring scream"

Two people fishing from a dock in the evening heard a powerful roaring scream from the west along the lake. About half a minute later a fisherman came running from the direction of the sound, appearing panicked. The two joined him and all three ran together back to the nearby campground, where he said something had been right next to him. They then broke camp and drove home.
