Deer hunter sees what he thinks is a bear through his rifle scope, until it stands and walks away, north of Oxford

The witness arrived at dawn to hunt deer from a climber stand about 20 feet up a pine. After hearing wood knocks and tree breaks for several minutes, he spotted a tall figure about 200 yards away and viewed it through a rifle scope, describing an 8-foot upright figure with a flat face that smelled the air then ran off on two legs. He climbed down, found a large five-toed human-like track where it had slid, heard whoops from two directions, and left the area.

Man sees creature cross the road, truck is damaged by flying stick

The witness was driving on a gravel road through a state park when a man-like figure crossed the road in four steps. After stopping at the crossing spot, the witness smelled a strong rank odor, heard a faint grunt, and a fist-sized stick was thrown and hit the side of the truck. The witness later reported the incident to ranger staff and has since avoided the area.

Late at night the witness was on the deck and repeatedly heard a loud growling-screaming sound moving from a field across the road to a field behind the house, but saw nothing in the moonlight. The next evening the witness and a companion searched with a spotlight and reported finding large bipedal footprints with a long stride. The tracks were photographed the following day after warm weather had largely melted them, and the photos were later judged too indistinct to include.

The witness reports hiking about five miles upriver to steelhead fish near where Summit Creek meets the Klickitat River. During fishing, the witness claims to have seen one creature at the river's edge while hearing another on the ridge above. The ridge creature allegedly threw rocks toward the witness while the river-edge creature ran away, described as a distraction tactic.

Possible stalking of hunter near Gatesville

The witness was hunting alone before dawn when he heard slow, heavy bipedal footsteps approaching to within about 10 feet. He also heard deep, labored breathing from the unseen animal. The animal then appeared to trip and fall hard, scrambled up, and ran away with a long heavy stride. After daylight he found only scuffed ground where it had fallen and noted no other animals were present.

Man has night encounter at home just outside Sam Houston National Forest

After a storm knocked out power, the witness walked a powerline to check for damage and then headed back toward the house. They noticed blinking eye-like lights high off the ground, smelled a musky odor, and made out a large bulky dark shape in weak flashlight light before running to the house. A short time later the witness returned with a brighter light and companions, saw the blinking eyes again in woods beside the house, then heard movement and a throaty howl as it left.

The witness and a companion were deer hunting overlooking a clearcut near Green Knob. After walking a spur road and glassing for deer for about 20 to 30 minutes, they heard several sequences of rock-click sounds from thick cover to the east. They did not see the source of the sounds.

The witness was bowhunting from a treestand just after dark when he heard several loud howls followed by a scream from several hundred yards down the valley. Unable to recognize the sounds despite extensive hunting experience, he quickly left the tree and took a logging road by ATV about 3.5 miles back to camp.

The witness and her husband were hunting in a clear-cut next to timber in the morning when they heard two loud human-like screams from the stand of trees. Both heard the second scream very close by. The witness associated the sound with Bigfoot vocalizations she had heard in documentaries and said neither she nor her husband had ever heard anything like it.

Two personnel on guard duty at an ammo holding area heard branch-breaking noises from dense trees about 300 meters beyond the security lights. They initially dismissed the noises as possibly caused by other soldiers. A high-pitched scream, holler or yell then came from the same dark area with no visual contact, prompting them to retreat to a vehicle and [name withheld]. The reporter suggested the vocalization matched what they had been told was Bigfoot.

The witness was outside a remote cottage watching a total lunar eclipse late at night when two extremely loud scream-like howls were heard at very close range. The sound was described as starting as a wolf-like howl and shifting to an immense roar, with apparent rapid movement from about 100 yards away to about 25 yards within seconds. No animal was seen, and the volume suggested a large animal to the witness.

On the first day knocking followed, circled, and retreated from the witness while moving off-trail. On the second day knocking again preceded arrival at a clearing, where the witness heard a snort-like sound near rocks and had several stones thrown overhead until a rifle was assembled, after which the forest went quiet.

The witness stopped, turned off the vehicle, and listened briefly to heavy crashing footsteps receding into the woods before driving on and noticing a nearby campfire gathering.

Late at night she and her daughter heard heavy footsteps and a quiet grunt or growl near their tent, initially mistaking it for her husband. Much later she and two other adult women in separate tents were awakened by a single loud whoop-like cry, while her daughter heard a mechanical sound but not the cry.

Two campers were in their tent at a campground late at night when they heard a strange hollow two-pitched sound repeated several times. One heard it twice and the other heard it four times, and they disagreed about the direction it came from. Their dog acted nervous during the sounds and then settled. They saw nothing and reported hearing nothing else.
