Two campers were in their tent at a campground late at night when they heard a strange hollow two-pitched sound repeated several times. One heard it twice and the other heard it four times, and they disagreed about the direction it came from. Their dog acted nervous during the sounds and then settled. They saw nothing and reported hearing nothing else.

The next morning the couple searched the stream area and surrounding forest but found no tracks or sign.
