Family hears vocalizations and finds footprints near Park Falls

Late at night the witness was on the deck and repeatedly heard a loud growling-screaming sound moving from a field across the road to a field behind the house, but saw nothing in the moonlight. The next evening the witness and a companion searched with a spotlight and reported finding large bipedal footprints with a long stride. The tracks were photographed the following day after warm weather had largely melted them, and the photos were later judged too indistinct to include.

Large bipedal footprints with long stride found the next day in fields, mostly melted by warm weather with a couple somewhat intact prints remaining.
Photos of the tracks taken and sent to investigator but excluded from report for insufficient detail.
An investigator spoke by phone with the witness, who said the vocalizing animal traveled about one-eighth of a mile while staying out of sight, and reviewed track photos that lacked detail for inclusion.
