The witness and two young companions were fishing on a private wooded property around noon. When the witness approached palmettos to check a noise, he saw eyes, heard a growl, and watched the creature stand to about nine feet tall. The group fled and returned hours later to find food and fish missing, poles scattered, and their shirts draped high in a live oak.

Three people parked near a bend in a road to look at the spot of an earlier sighting. They watched a large silhouette leaning against a tree that slowly raised an arm toward its face and later disappeared, while a smaller fur-covered figure was seen walking in the open and then running when approached on foot. The larger figure was also reported to turn its head to watch a passing truck.

The witness and a companion were on an extended camping trip in woods outside Eureka. While taking turns watching the area, the companion spotted an animal on a ridge and the witness viewed it through binoculars, noting it walked on two legs and suggesting it might be a bigfoot. The companion was initially doubtful but was convinced after a later close encounter while using the facilities.

Two people on an early-morning horseback outing noticed agitated horses and a strong foul odor. They then watched a figure crouched on one knee picking through rocks about 200 feet away. The witness was hunting snakes along roads in the evening and stopped to check a spot. Near a tree line opening the witness heard rustling and saw the upper rear portion of a large figure. The figure turned slightly toward the witness, then walked away. The witness also reported a strong musky odor.

Early morning sighting by a trucker on Othello Road

A tractor-trailer driver who had overnighted in a parking lot drove east past campgrounds around 5 a.m. He noticed a very tall figure walking away from him on the road, which stepped into the ditch, stopped, and turned to stare at him. The figure was hair-covered with a bare dark face and glaring eyes, then turned and strolled away as the truck approached. The driver did not stop.

Piercing scream heard by twelve people near Mays Lick

The witness's husband and another adult were sitting with boys camping in the woods on a moonlit night when the husband noticed a figure moving between trees, with moonlight visible between its legs. The group left the woods, and the next day the witness found footprints and poured a mold of one, plus other ground and vegetation signs. The investigator later reported the couple described a seven-foot-tall, wide-shouldered creature with a cone-shaped head and no neck.

Daylight sighting by motorist on U.S. 41 near I-29

Two people driving east on US 41 to go fishing reported seeing a creature about 50 yards north of the road. The creature turned, took three steps, and knelt down in the grass with its head still visible. The witnesses estimated it was about eight feet tall, and after turning around for another look they did not see it again.

Sighting by a group of campers in Cheaha Mountain State Park

A group of six campers sitting around a campfire at night heard strange low and high-pitched sounds approaching through the woods. They scanned with a powerful spotlight and saw a hairy upright figure partly hidden behind a tree about 20-30 yards away, with yellow eye glow. It stayed motionless for 30 to 60 seconds and was gone after the light was briefly turned away.

The witness reports being awakened at home around 2:30 a.m. by a motion-sensor light and noticing a musky odor. Looking out the window, the witness saw a large dark figure walking on two legs toward the trees and into shadows. The figure appeared tall relative to a trailer, leading the witness to wonder if it might be a Bigfoot.

The witness heard a deep howling sound near livestock pens after leaving a relative's farmhouse, then drove down the hill beside the house. In high-beam headlights the witness saw a large, dark-brown, hairy biped jump from an embankment and cross the rural road in a few steps without looking at the vehicle. The animal disappeared into a field on the other side, and the witness returned home agitated and called to warn the household to lock doors.

Fisherman sees creature in Wildcat Creek

The witness was fishing and wading in a creek to get past a thicket when sensing unease and spotting a large dark shape in the water first thought to be a bear until its face was seen. A loud scream-like grunt and the sound of breaking limbs came from the side, after which the creature stood up and walked away upright while grunting and howling as a rotten foul smell hung in the air.

Two people were sitting on the tailgate of a parked truck on a vacant road at dusk when the reporting witness went to the cab for a phone and saw a small dark hairy biped about 15 yards away. The entity ran across the road from left to right in a few seconds, paused without looking, then entered the woods while making running noise heard by both people. The pair waited in the truck in fear for several minutes before driving away.

Two people in separate pickups were driving down a mountain after scouting for elk after dark in rain. They watched an object on the roadside in their headlights for about 30 seconds before it ran away around a bend. Both described a roughly 6- to 7-foot-tall figure running very fast with long swinging arms and an impressive stride.

The guest's wife was driving home from a restaurant job around two to three in the morning. A bigfoot ran in front of her car, crossed the road in a few steps, and jumped over a guardrail above a steep drop to a creek. She arrived home terrified while seven months pregnant.

The witness and his uncle were camping and ATV riding near Great Barrington over Memorial Day weekend. After seeing eyeshine on arrival night and watching other riders flee screaming from a trail the next day, two very large hairy bipeds entered their campfire-lit camp that night. One vocalized a word remembered as Enoch, stole their cooler and fled with three more sets of eyeshine seen in the woods. A large handprint was later found on the vehicle sunroof and the cooler was found with doors torn off.

The witnesses were fishing when they heard a sound and saw a deer about 13 yards away. A huge bipedal ape-like figure came out quietly and seized the deer. Frightened, the witnesses ran up to the nearby railroad tracks.

The witness filmed an unclear figure near a work site in a remote forested area. The witness showed the tape to family, after which others in the community and media became aware of it. An investigator later viewed the full tape and described it as blurry and small in frame but showing additional movements.

The witness was alone at a riverside base camp in the afternoon when she saw two dark, slender bipedal figures walking on the opposite river trail around a bend. When she reached the riverbank moments later they had vanished with no place to hide except a steep vegetated canyon wall. A radio check confirmed the hiking group had not passed anyone, and when group members later stood at the same spot they looked much smaller and bulkier than the figures.
