A couple sleeping in a rented fifth-wheel trailer at a campground were awakened around 2 a.m. by sounds outside. The wife reported padded footsteps circling the trailer, followed by pressure on the exterior step that shook the trailer while their normally vocal dog stayed silent. The occupants remained inside in fear and later closed windows and fell asleep; companions camped nearby said they heard nothing.
Large creature leaves 12"+ handprints on camper trailer during rainy night
The witness and three companions camped over multiple rainy nights. They heard persistent huffing and a growl, experienced silence and a sense of being watched, and reported a dark shape blocking a camper window. When leaving they later found muddy primate-like handprints high on the camper and a trailer lock twisted and broken.

The witness reports hearing strange laughter-like sounds from woods near a companion's house over several months, later followed by almost nightly yard disturbances. Other household members and a neighbor also heard the sounds, and trash was disturbed, items knocked over, and apples went missing while dogs barked. The witness never saw the source and states no physical evidence was recovered, with activity stopping when weather turned cold.

During a July camping trip at Beaver Creek State Park, the guest hit trees with a staff and then a strong foul odor appeared. Around 2:30 a.m. a large limb whooshed through still air and thudded near camp. The next night something handled a food box, crackled a tarp, urinated by a tree, left a tarp corner neatly folded, and left a rolled ball of pine pitch on a tent.
On-going encounters makes rural family cautious
In June 2001 the witness's children discovered large footprints in the field behind the family mobile home and photographed them. About a week later the children heard something running across the hillside while playing at the creek, and the family dog chased it and later returned covered in slime. The children later encountered large rocks rolling toward them on the hill, and the witness heard a loud prolonged growl, with a horrible unidentified odor lingering after the hillside activity.

Four people camped overnight in a remote pine forest after hiking all day to the spot. Around 1 a.m. large rocks began falling around their tents for several hours, despite no cliffs or steep grade that could explain natural rockfall, accompanied by very loud branch cracking. The witness got up repeatedly to look but saw nothing that could explain the activity, except a deer that stayed in camp until the disturbance stopped.

The witness, a Marine designated marksman, was ordered to kill an aggressive animal near Lake D on a Navy base on the Georgia-Florida border. After hearing a splash and seeing a branch thrown into the water one evening, he returned the next evening and watched a tall, long-haired biped cross a road about 40 yards away. He shot it twice, and it collapsed and died. Superiors and two men in a white car secured the body, told him to stay in place and later to forget the incident, and no written statement was ever taken.

The witness reports hearing howling and whistle-like sounds behind their house near woods outside town frequently over about three weeks, usually around 2 a.m., distinguishing them from nearby trains. One set rose vertically and maintained eye contact as the group moved off across a hollow without showing deer traits like a white tail or snort. Shortly after, a heavy object landed near him, which he later interpreted as thrown, followed by guttural vocalizations unlike known wildlife and a skunky odor at a suspected bedding area.

The witness and a companion drove to Hemet Lake late at night intending a walk and sat by the car. They heard something large breaking branches and moving down a canyon behind them, then smelled a strong rotten wet-dog odor and felt watched, so they left. When they returned about an hour later, a large steel trash bin had been knocked over and had a large circular dent.
Possible nighttime encounter at a home outside Turkey Run State Park
The witness and their partner were sitting by a fire in their yard at night when cattle behind the house began bawling and running. The partner called the witness to the side of the garage where a tall shape stood motionless in the moonlight. The partner threw a steel pipe at the shape, which did not move, so they assumed it was a tree and went inside. The next morning they found no tree at that spot, but flattened grass and two trails leading through the pasture, and recovered the thrown pipe.

Late at night the witness heard sounds from a large animal in the backyard corn garden while in the living room. The next day a large footprint was found in the garden and corn was missing from the tops of tall stalks with husks left on the ground. A photo of the track was taken.
Hunting trailer violently shook by unknown animal
Three hunters were sleeping in a trailer at a remote camp. In the early morning hours the trailer began rocking violently from side to side, waking the occupants, who armed themselves and went outside but saw and heard nothing further. At daybreak they found indistinct ground marks and large smudged marks high on the trailer's rear corners, concluded an unknown animal had grabbed and rocked the trailer, and left the area.

The witness camped overnight in a sleeping bag by a dying fire after hearing a metallic clink followed by tree knocks that seemed to answer each other from two directions. The witness then watched a dark silhouette showing only head and shoulders peek from behind a tree about 20 feet away. In the morning a tied food bag was gone except for an orange left on the ground.

The witness and a companion were night fishing when they heard rustling, snapping and thumping approaching from the woods. Something ran across gravel behind them, slapped the side of their parked pickup three times, and shook branches while heavy footsteps were felt. After reaching the truck to leave, they heard a loud, close, high-pitched unearthly scream and drove away quickly.
Two boaters experience possible intimidation behavior outside Madisonville
Two companions paddled a small boat up a remote swampy creek in the late afternoon. A large rock was thrown from the wooded bank and splashed into the creek ahead of them, after which one of them fired warning shots and they turned back. As they paddled back after dark, they heard heavy footsteps in the woods that stopped when they stopped paddling and resumed when they paddled, continuing until they reached the road.
Campers experience strange events in Ramsey's Draft Wilderness Area
A group was camped in a forested valley and spent the afternoon and night sitting and talking. They heard knocks from a nearby ridge followed by small rocks thrown toward camp, some hitting a tent. A deer came within about ten feet of the group in the evening and remained nearby all night, at times appearing alert toward the woods. The group did not report seeing a creature.
Car pulling camper hits something on US 129 South of Live Oak
Four men were driving south late at night towing a loaded travel trailer when a tall dark form ran toward the road on two feet. The car passed in front of it, but the trailer struck it with enough force to lift the trailer off the ground. The occupants stopped, backed up, and inspected the vehicles and roadway but found no body, blood, hair, or damage.
Sasquatch sighting in Utah (2000)
The second guest was sleeping in a makeshift lean-to with several other scouts during a survival exercise when getting up at night revealed a very tall, wide, dark hairy biped staring at the shelter. The figure approached with heavy steps and pushed on the shelter logs, causing partial collapse, before the group shouted and adults ran over as something crashed away into the woods. Leaders dismissed the claim as a prank and told the group to go back to sleep.

The morning after dogs repeatedly barked toward the woods overnight, a resident found fence wires pulled down and a large print in sandy soil near the fence. He searched downhill and found a second similar print on a creek sandbar. The family reported the finds, and investigators visited that afternoon and measured both prints.
