The witness and their partner were sitting by a fire in their yard at night when cattle behind the house began bawling and running. The partner called the witness to the side of the garage where a tall shape stood motionless in the moonlight. The partner threw a steel pipe at the shape, which did not move, so they assumed it was a tree and went inside. The next morning they found no tree at that spot, but flattened grass and two trails leading through the pasture, and recovered the thrown pipe.

An investigator spoke with the witness by phone, noted the couple had lived there only three days, recorded the object as eight feet tall at fifty to sixty feet, and noted no footprints were found.
