Hunting trailer violently shook by unknown animal

Three hunters were sleeping in a trailer at a remote camp. In the early morning hours the trailer began rocking violently from side to side, waking the occupants, who armed themselves and went outside but saw and heard nothing further. At daybreak they found indistinct ground marks and large smudged marks high on the trailer's rear corners, concluded an unknown animal had grabbed and rocked the trailer, and left the area.

Measurements: smudges close to 8 feet off the ground; trailer approximately 7 feet wide
An investigator spoke by phone three times with the main witness, noted familiarity with the camp road, and was unable to contact the two companions.
