The witness and a relative were hunting deer late in the afternoon when they heard sounds like wood blocks struck together. Moments later they saw a dark fur-covered figure moving upright very quickly through thick brush, visible only from the upper thigh up for a few seconds. About five minutes later they heard a loud thud like a limb falling.

Possible stick structures, two dens, and brush markers found in same area after sighting, of unknown origin
The main witness searched the same area daily with a video camera, noted possible stick structures, dens and brush markers of unknown origin, and planned a night outing with thermal equipment and sound recorders.
An investigator spoke by phone separately with both witnesses of the main sighting.
