The witness and spouse were driving a motorhome south on Highway 37 when a single bipedal figure emerged from forest on one side, crossed two lanes in full view, and disappeared into forest on the other side. Looking out the open door toward a clearcut bordered by alders, the boy saw a tall upright brown-black animal emerge, take several steps, pause to look at the van, then return to cover. He described it as walking on two legs and swinging its arms, seeing it from the waist up.

The witness reported seeing a large black bipedal figure hurry across the highway from right to left well ahead, then go through the ditch and up a steep slope.
