The witness and a companion were preparing to collect firewood on a mountain road when their dog ran into the brush, yelped, and fled back to the truck to hide. Both men then watched a tall, dark-brown, upright creature move quickly through dense brush about thirty feet away. The witness noted the dog's fearful reaction was highly unusual for a dog accustomed to bears and cougars.
