During a day hike the witness left a recorder on the truck windshield to monitor activity around the vehicle. The recorder captured a prolonged grunting sequence accompanied by knocks. The witness later compared the sounds to known animals and primate recordings.

The witness reported hearing repeated unexplained sounds in the timber surrounding their home, described as knock-like thumps, whistles, stomping with stick breaks, and deep growls. The witness was driving a back-road commute to work before dawn when a very tall, dark, hairy figure was encountered walking in the roadway beside the car. The witness slowed and moved over, then looked back to see the figure cross behind the car, clear a four-foot fence, and move quickly into a field. The figure was first mistaken for a large person in a heavy fur coat before the witness concluded it was hair-covered.

Two relatives found unusually large footprints soon after rain and photographed them. The larger impression was described as about 18 inches long and 6 inches wide with three clear toes and a possible fourth, with smaller tracks alongside. In winter around November the witness camped about three-quarters of a mile from a parabolic recorder aimed west toward a structure or trail area. The witness did not hear anything at camp, but the parabolic captured long-distance screams. A very similar scream was recorded again on another fall or winter occasion.

The witness and a relative were night fishing across a creek from a short bluff when they heard crashing coming down the hill. They shone a spotlight and saw a large hairy figure crouched at the shoreline, then heard a second crashing nearby. The first figure entered the creek and stood in deep water up to its rib cage while they watched, after which both people fled without looking back.

The witness and a companion were driving toward a nature reserve parking lot in the afternoon to look for Sasquatch. Less than a hundred feet ahead, a large dark-haired muscular creature crossed the road on all fours from a field and disappeared. The companion reportedly interpreted the animal as a large dog, while the witness maintained it was unlike any known animal.

Two girls encountered a tall dark figure at close range in a marshy wooded area near a fence. The figure left quickly while splashing through water, as a nearby cat reacted with alarm and neighboring dogs barked and fled. The witnesses then heard loud imitative barking and cow-like sounds from different directions, followed by faint responses to their own knocks. They went inside and later recounted the events to family and an investigator.

While the group sat on a hilltop in darkness, the witness heard bipedal footsteps approach from below, first one then two, trying to sound like deer. He fired a rifle into the air, then heard a garbled unintelligible vocalization as the sources moved quickly downhill. He woke the next morning with headache and nausea and left the property.

The witness's father shot a doe in the jaw; it fell, then got up and fled while something was heard leaving in dense brush uphill. After an unsuccessful blood trailing, the doe was found the next morning on the main road with organs gone, neck snapped, and spine damage. Later the carcass was gone except for the detached jaw left on the road.

He heard loud snort-like vocalizations from multiple directions with deep bass, then rocks hit the vehicle. The pair drove out quickly while something seemed to follow them to the tree line.

The witness drove to a friend's rural house at night and while walking to the door heard large bipedal footsteps paralleling him from woods 30-40 yards away. The steps stopped when he stopped and resumed when he walked. He told his friend inside, but the sound was gone when they came back out.

The witness was driving west on Highway 54 toward the Kansas state line in early-morning darkness on the way to work. In the headlights a very large, very dark, stocky upright figure was seen on the left side of the road, visible from the knees up with very black hair that shone in the lights. The figure quickly stepped off the roadway within a second or two, and the witness did not turn back.

The witness returned home from work late at night and noticed a large figure crouched near a deer lick in the yard. He turned on bright lights and walked toward it thinking it was a poacher, then smelled strong body odor and mildew and realized it was not human. The figure stood up and they stared at each other before it left down a game trail into the brush.

While riding an ATV on the family's timbered farm in daylight, a relative came around a corner and saw a tall dark hairy figure pulling leaves from a tree and eating them. The relative took a cell phone photo, then turned the vehicle around and left quickly with a companion. Minutes later the group heard four loud howls from the general area and left immediately.

The witness was driving home from work late at night in rain when he noticed a figure in the ditch beside the road. He first mistook it for a person in rain gear, then saw it was a hair-covered figure bent over what looked like a deer on the ground. As he drove even with it, the figure stood upright on two legs and extended its arms straight out. He slowed briefly but continued home.
