The witness returned home from work late at night and noticed a large figure crouched near a deer lick in the yard. He turned on bright lights and walked toward it thinking it was a poacher, then smelled strong body odor and mildew and realized it was not human. The figure stood up and they stared at each other before it left down a game trail into the brush.

The witness went back into the woods the next day and observed deer bedding areas and a naturally formed pile of rocks with a death-like foul smell.
An investigator spoke with the witness on 10/29/2012 to record extra encounter details and noted the rock pile accumulated naturally.
