While staying at a relative's house near a deep river canyon, the witness together with two relatives heard loud eerie screams late at night that they said they had never heard before and that made their hair stand up. Three hunters were sleeping in a trailer at a remote camp. In the early morning hours the trailer began rocking violently from side to side, waking the occupants, who armed themselves and went outside but saw and heard nothing further. At daybreak they found indistinct ground marks and large smudged marks high on the trailer's rear corners, concluded an unknown animal had grabbed and rocked the trailer, and left the area.

The witness and spouse were hiking uphill in heavy snow when they found about a dozen very fresh, large barefoot-like tracks crossing the slope. As they examined the tracks, nearby foliage shook as if an animal was present, and they felt sudden fear and decided to leave. While descending about 300 yards, small pebbles were repeatedly tossed at them from behind, striking the witness in the back without injury until they began to run.

The witness was riding as a passenger while the mother drove to work in the early morning. They came upon two large hairy animals lying on the highway and honked; one rose onto two legs and ran into the woods, while the other first ran on all fours down the road before standing onto two legs and also leaving the road to the west. The witness heard heavy breathing, tried to get out of the moving van to follow but was stopped, and a return to the spot later that day found no trace.

A black human-like figure emerged and ran upright down the steep slope waving its arms overhead, covering the distance in about ten seconds. The witness first assumed it was a person trying to disrupt the hunt, but after revisiting the site doubted a person could have shaken the trees or run that fast in deep snow.

They noticed a red-furred creature standing motionless against a tree beside the road. It looked directly at the witness for several seconds before turning and leaving sight in a few strides. The witness recalled yellow cat-like eyes and an unfriendly, wild demeanor.

Two youths riding a dirt bike back toward a farm noticed a tall dark figure walking upright on a rural road. When they stopped near a turn, the figure crouched briefly and then scrambled into the roadside ditch and dense bush. The pair fled to the farm and armed themselves without discussing the sighting at the time.

The witness and a companion heard a loud scream at night at their farm home but could see nothing in the dark. The next morning they followed footprints in the snow starting about 75 feet from the home on the west side of the garage toward the swamp. The prints were described as large bare human-like feet, and hair was found where the track-maker appeared to have leaned against a pine tree, which the witness collected.
