A group walking back from an old cemetery at night shone lights on a tower and saw a hairy creature standing on top. The creature raised its arms, jumped from the tower and ran into brush with sounds of trees breaking. After a brief silence a loud high-pitched scream was heard and a distinct odor lingered.

An investigator interviewed two witnesses and the camp manager and identified the tower as wooden railroad coal-loading cribbing, estimating the jump at 20 to 25 feet.
A researcher visited in spring 1988 to investigate reports in the area.
