After going inside around midnight they heard a prolonged scream-howl from the brushy forest at the front of the house. The guest felt watched and intensely anxious until about 4:30 a.m. and did not sleep, while his wife fell asleep.

On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

The witness was staying alone for a week at a secluded rental house on a fishing trip. About a year later the guest clacked sticks together while gathering firewood at his sister's house, then later heard from his bedroom window a long 30-second scream that rose from a brake-like screech to an elongated howl and deep guttural end. His brother, brother's friend and sister also heard it from the patio and house, and he avoided the woods afterward.

The witness heard a baby-like crying sound near his property, then about ten minutes later a very loud, long, deep roar from a mountain about half a mile away. Shortly after, an answering roar came from the top of his own mountain behind him. The two roars went back and forth, shaking his RV, and he went inside with his dog.
