The witness arrived before daylight to deer hunt from a ground blind near a road above a steep slope. From inside the blind he heard coyotes, then hollering, rock-banging or wood-knock sounds, and whoops as something ran up the slope, crossed the road, and stopped in thick brush behind him. He then heard loud raspy breathing and growling and smelled a strong obnoxious odor for about five minutes before the animal ran away along the treeline and the woods went quiet.
Howl in Washington (2018)
The guest and his wife were settling for the night in a cabin on Lake Crescent when a long, drawn-out howl came from the mountainside behind them. He notes it did not sound like coyotes or wolves he knew. Both looked at each other in disbelief.

While waiting in the vehicle he heard distant wood knocks and answered them with a bat, receiving replies that seemed progressively closer on the north side of the road. Later he heard a scream-howl from the south side followed by another nearby knock, after which the exchange ended.

Five people camped in a remote forest-swamp area to look for sasquatch. After they went to sleep in their tents, they were awakened a little after 4 a.m. by a very loud long yell lasting about 10 seconds from roughly 50 yards away, with coyote yelps and several shorter yells mixed in. After the sounds stopped the woods went completely silent.

The witness was hiking alone at night on the Appalachian Trail on the return trip down Corbin Hill. Around 9pm the witness heard a single loud 15-second vocalization that began low as a howl and rose higher as a scream. The witness compared it to a deeper gibbon call and said it did not sound like an owl or coyote. No visual contact or further vocalizations were reported, and the witness stated they could not confirm the source.

With his coworker and brother-in-law the witness revisited the pond area to find it bulldozed, a track with missing toes, and a large log thrown into the pond with no drag marks. After sitting into the evening coyotes sounded, then a deep howl ending in a growl silenced them followed by a tree knock. The brother-in-law went quiet for days.

During a daytime walk in a dry creek bed, the witness and a companion found two large human-like footprints. The witness reported intense fear, unusual silence, bunched cattle, and dogs hiding. On a Friday evening the witness was at home writing music when he heard a loud howling-hoot and noticed his dogs were agitated. He went outside and briefly saw a tall, hairy creature with glowing greenish-yellow eyes and large feet by the creek-side swing. The creature quickly ran south along the creek under a highway overpass and disappeared while both the witness and his wife heard the strange vocalization.

The first night included talk-like and giggling sounds followed by an hour of limbs breaking all around them. The next morning they found widespread broken limbs and a snapped tree but no footprints, and did not return.

Around midnight on January 21, 2017 the witness was making calls from the front porch and received a wood knock response from across the street, which drew the dog into the woods. When the dog went quiet the witness entered the woods, beat on an oak and shouted for the dog, then heard knocks, chest-beating, howls, a bluff charge and a tree pushed over while seeing eyeshine. After the witness told the entity to back away, the dog returned and they went home.

While setting up an assembly area late at night, a driver watching a weapon camera saw a fuzzy bipedal figure moving in the distance. The narrator went outside, heard a terrible yowl, and was told the figure stopped and looked toward them. He stayed inside the truck the rest of the night.
