Headlights illuminated a large hairy biped crossing the road from right to left toward woods by a stable in front of the family home. The witness braked and watched it cross in a few steps, then drove up the dirt lane without seeing it again. The follow-up summary dates the road crossing to 1998.
Strange bellowing noises heard
Over several weeks the witness was repeatedly awakened at night by loud, drawn-out bellowing sounds that seemed to move and change in volume. Two 11-year-olds were sitting on a rock in the woods when they heard a dead tree fall. They looked up and saw a tall creature walking from right to left toward a stream, which seemed to ignore them. They ran quickly out of the woods, and their small dog that ran toward the creature later returned home unharmed.
