The witness was locking the door after the mother and her friend left for town and saw a tall hairy figure walking through a neighbor's yard. The witness ducked behind the door and the figure was gone when they looked again. Moments later the mother called to say she and her friend had seen a large hairy animal cross the road ahead of their car and step over a metal gate.
