A camp counselor leading about two dozen children on a backcountry hike reported encountering an erect, reddish-brown hairy creature at close range on a ridge in daylight. The creature watched the group for about a minute, then fled upslope on two legs. That night at a lakeside camp the group reported a strong skunk-like odor, distant landslides, a small dim green light, snapping branches, and large shadowy figures moving among trees for about two hours. Activity reportedly ceased after two counselors left to seek medical help for an ill child.

Over several days two cows vanished from a fenced pasture without tracks, blood, or remains, despite searches on foot and horseback. On successive nights the witness heard wood-on-wood knocking from two directions, described as communication between pastures. The knocking continued nightly for the rest of the week-long stay.

The witness woke in the middle of the night while sleeping on a screened porch. The dogs under the house made fearful low sounds, then a dark upright figure appeared in a break between trees with the moon behind it, turning its head side to side before dropping out of sight. The witness and a young friend walked to a large flower-covered meadow to sit and watch nature. The insects and birds suddenly went silent, followed by grunting high in the trees and an unusual call sliding from high to very low. Both felt watched and chilled, then left for the house pasture.

The witness was on foot hunting bears near a small clearing when he spotted three brown hair-covered animals scuffling as they moved away. He hid behind a log and watched as two mated face-to-face on the ground while the third stood and moved nearby, then he fired a rifle shot that missed. The three animals then fled into the treeline running on two legs.
Breaking limbs, scream heard
The witness was with four relatives at a creek to set a fishing net and waited by a campfire. After hearing splashing near the net, the witness and a relative went to check it and walked past it. Nearby they heard limbs breaking and a very loud deep scream that seemed to shake the ground, then returned quickly to the campfire.

The witness was deer hunting alone from a climbing stand about 25 feet up near a creek in a large swamp. After birds and other animals suddenly went silent, he watched a tall gray hair-covered biped walk steadily along the opposite bank for several minutes without making sound. He later paced off the distance to a marked tree and estimated the creature at eight to ten feet tall, and became convinced it was a Sasquatch-like animal.
Howl near Blue Mountains (1966)
The witness, then age eleven, was on a week-long scout camp in a deep gorge. On one night the group heard loud guttural howling from the cliffs above. The next night something entered the valley, disturbed the main camp and the witness's isolated tent, shaking trees and the tent, and growled directly into the witness's ear, terrifying the campers until dawn.

The guest and his younger cousin were riding ponies on sandy fire roads when they found long scratch marks with no other tracks. While stopped discussing the marks as the ponies grew antsy, they heard a close growl and saw nearby brush shake violently. Both fled on the ponies toward home.

In January or February 1966 near Mayfield, New York, the witness and a relative were rabbit hunting at midday. They found a short series of very large tracks in patchy melting snow and followed them a short distance before losing the trail.
Man recalls finding possible tracks and trees stripped of bark while hunting and stationed at Leavenworth
The witness went deer hunting before dawn on the Missouri side of the river after fresh snow. He found large human-like barefoot tracks in the snow and followed them a short distance. The trackway went along a field edge, backtracked inside the woods, and led to willow saplings with bark stripped off, then continued into thick brush toward the river. He did not see the trackmaker and stopped tracking to continue hunting.
Sasquatch sighting in Mississippi (1966)
The witness, then six, woke at night in a shared bedroom and heard cooing and clicking outside. He saw a large monkey-like creature leaning over a fence about 15 to 20 yards from the window, swaying its head. He woke his younger brother, both ran to their mother, who told them to go back to sleep without checking.

The witness with his mother and brother found a three-toed track in the woods, had several young calves go missing without trace, and had a colt found with its neck ripped open.
Family has early evening sighting near Weed
The family was finishing work at their bee yard in the evening when the father noticed a man-like figure standing by a tall stump. A very loud yipping yell was heard twice, the family dog reacted fearfully, and nearby coyotes fell silent. The figure loped away with dangling arms and long, sure-footed strides, and comparison to the stump afterward led the father to estimate it at about nine feet tall.
Possible encounter with soldier training training in the Olympic National Forest
The witness was taking part in a nighttime military training exercise in a forested area in 1966 and was returning alone to the company area around 3-4 a.m. He noticed the outline of a large upright figure coming down a steep sandy hill toward a logging road while hearing footsteps and shifting dirt. When he challenged the figure, it responded with a loud growl, and he ran to the campfire without hearing pursuit. He initially told others the pursuer was a bear but later concluded it had walked on two legs and was a bigfoot.
Multi-witness road-crossing sighting outside Fort St.John
In 1965 a family of five was driving on the Alaska Highway in the early evening when an upright hairy figure crossed the road directly in front of their pickup near Mile 91. The occupants in both the cab and the camper watched it cross quickly. They later stopped at a cafe where the father made a joking remark about what they had seen. A lingering egg-like smell was also noted in connection with the crossing.
Youth's presence startles unknown animal
As a teenager cutting through dense swampy woods on a military reservation, the witness noticed the forest go silent and felt watched. He saw a brown, long-haired form that rose to an estimated 8-10 feet and crashed rapidly through thick brush. He remained frozen until normal forest sounds returned, then left and never returned to the area.

In the fall of 1965 the witness was staying in a trailer on the family property when loud screaming was heard approaching from the direction of the river. The witness and a relative heard something pacing behind the dwelling while the screaming continued, then striking the trailer sides four or five times. The witness fired a gun once from the doorway, after which no further sound was heard that night.

The witness and family were camped and sitting around a campfire at night when they heard a loud unfamiliar scream-like cry from very close beyond the trees, with sounds of vegetation being torn up and bipedal stomping. Their dog ran silently to the trailer and the group followed. The next morning they found large impressions in the forest floor near where the sound came from but could not determine what made them because of deadfall and deep pine needles.
