Wood knock near Van Zandt County (1966)
Account
Over several days two cows vanished from a fenced pasture without tracks, blood, or remains, despite searches on foot and horseback. On successive nights the witness heard wood-on-wood knocking from two directions, described as communication between pastures. The knocking continued nightly for the rest of the week-long stay.
